This app is garbage. Aside from being glitchy and generally unintuitive to use ("Auto" heat mode means you set the temp yourself apparently?), it has now decided to start turning on the heater randomly in the middle of the night, wasting electricity. Two days in a row I woke up with my tub "ready to use!" after explicitly turning it down the evening prior. Looks like they let the interns take a swing at this one...avoid if you can.

Very disappointed! I paid for the annual subscription and was then told that the 3g connection will no longer work and they are jumping to a 5g platform that will cost $300 + installation. I have a perfectly good lte phone and don't know if the new 5g connection will even work with my phone. Gave up phone technical support after 40 minutes of no answer. Argh!!

The app keeps making me put in the serial number every time I open it. It doesn't seem to remember the serial number or that I've scanned the code. Update: Thanks to SmartTub support for reaching out and contacting me. The problem has resolved itself and I no longer need to enter my code when I use the app. Tech support suggested that the lapse in synchronization occurred while the system was finding initial connection to the cell tower in my area.

App only works about 10% off the time. Most of the time my hot tub is "off line." Very frustrating. One of the reasons I liked the app was that I could dim the lights (can't on hot tub controls). I get my first year free but I don't think I'll be renewing if they can't fix the connection between the hot tub and the app.

The app is very helpful tracking filter change times. I also accidentally put a lock on my tempature setting, I contacted them them trough the app and they were able to remove the lock for me. They responded quickly and were very helpful. I also order a new filter via the app. A bit slow to fill the order but it is on its way.

It's not immensely extra terrific in functionality, but it does provide basic access when you're not physically at the spa. Such as when you want to run the jets after adding chemicals. It would be awesome if some jet1/2/blower routines could be defined..with different things going on and timed pauses for a custom experience.

UPDATE: I was able to find an antenna which improved the app performance. Since this is a review of the app I will give it 4 stars now, but still contend the Jacuzzi experience is terrible. The operator panel is supposed to be backlit, which it NOT, so you need a phone app to control the $10K tub at night. My 1999 Jacuzzi had a backlit display. You could just push the buttons. Now I need a phone and an app. Progress? I will NEVER buy a Jacuzzi again.

I'm sure the app is great, but it's not working for me. I have a Samsung S20 and have installed the Smart Tub app on my phone for my new Jacuzzi J-315. I have tried several times to pair my spa, but each time I hit the 'Pair Your Spa' button, it just takes me back to that page; it never pairs. I've tried standing right next to the spa.
