9/04/2024 Update to below review:. It is now 3 months since my last review. Contacted tech support about this app. They " claimed " they would have the search function fixed " soon". I guess they don't know the concept . THE ISSUE IS NOT FIXED!!!!! Supposedly app was updated. I never had a problem until the " fix" was completed. When I try to filter search results to years, nothing happens. It just highlights "years" word. Will not filter. Terrible,!

This app is easier to use and less janky than the mobile website, which may be reason enough to download and keep it. But if you're limited on space, it has no offline functionality whatsoever and no push notifications for things like checking when your materials are due. Other than few small features like being able to pull up your library card barcode for scanning (I never tested if tapping works like physical cards), there isn't a major reason to just stick with the mobile website anyway.

I got to say that I am pleased with how the update fixed all the problems I had with the app. It's impressive really, the interfaces and menu are so much better than before. Neater, very modern looking, although there is a small issue keeping it from being a 5 star experiment. For some reason the home inferface is very laggy, very choppy, and I'm thinking it had something to do with your servers, although it's not the way on the other interfaces, so I would suggest getting that fixed in someway.

Love the Queens Library app! By far the fastest way to renew books and check the status of requests (and closing time!). The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is that the app (and the mobile website, too) doesn't show me my wishlist like I can see on the website with my computer. I use that to pick what to read next; it'd be super helpful to be able to see my list from my phone while browsing in the library.

Please make it so that we can enable in-app push notifications that tell us when our checked-out books are about to be due before the due date (preferably customizable) and on the due date. And constant in-app push notification reminders when books are late. I feel like doing that would make the experience a lot better.

So much bugs, fire these dumb devs and hire some high schoolers. The high schoolers will do 100x better. This app sucks.

Checked out, requests, balance, etc. should be easily accessible from anywhere in the app but instead you must click through several selections to get to it. The user's wishlist and history of checked items are nowhere to be found which is a big con for me. I'd also like to suggest that it would be great if users could get reminder notifications for when a book is almost due or a request is ready for pickup. I do like that I can scan with my barcode in the app in case I forget my card.

The app is unpredictable. It will be fine for a few months, then suddenly not allow you to log in, then a few months later it's fine. Frustrating, and a shame because when it WORKS, it's great.
