The Roku Remote control within the Roku App is really so much easier to use because it doesn't require line of sight to function and God forbid your batteries are low then you have a new set of problems. A nice feature that I love is the all your apps are right there on your Remote control and you pick your entertainment platform, what you want to watch and sound choice all from your phone and no getting off your couch to mess with peripheral side issues. A great piece of technology. Thanks.

UPDATE: THE VOLUME NO LONGER CONTROLS MY TOSHIBA TV AND IT DID BEFORE!! PLEASE FIX. I WILL GIVE BACK 5 STARS IF U FIX IT TO MY TOSHIBA NOT SMART TV. This app is awesome! It's better than the authentic Roku remote app because this one controls VOLUME. I have a Roku Express plugged into older Toshiba TV no remote. I've tried so many universal remotes, and apps and none worked. I downloaded this app thinking it was Roku remote app. They look the same. So what a great suprise it controled my tv

I used Roku official remote app for Android. It always gave me trouble. I searched for another app. Tried several before finding this one. Simple does what it's was designed to do. Never had any trouble with it. Excellent Remote. If you need a remote app for your Roku device stop searching. This is the best one to install.

Amazingly easy to instal and use. Great job, Guys!! UPDATE: About a month ago this app suddenly couldn't find my internet. Or couldn't connect. I would restart my phone. Make sure my roku was connected correctly and pointed right at me! Nothing... uninstalling. There are plenty of remote apps that do work.

I have downloaded many different Roku Remote Apps and this one has worked the best for me. I have used it for years and am very grateful to have found this app, especially when my real remote has gone missing. I didn't give it 5 stars because sometimes, even with my roku tv already on, it will say that the roku is not connected to the internet so the remote app won't connect to it. If my roku TV is on, it automatically is connected to the internet so there must be some issue with the app.

This app is awesome 👍. Just a few things though. Every time I use the volume tab it turns my volume up, down and mutes the TV even though it's not a Roku TV but still states that it is only able to do so for Roku TV's. Also there isn't a tab for private listening 🎧 so I would be able to connect my Bluetooth earbuds to my phone. Check into adding it. Then it would be 5 stars.

I lost my Roku Remote somewhere in my house and searched in vain for it. It's location is still a mystery. I was so bummed out about not being able to use my Roku when I remembered there was an app i could dl to my phone and use my phone as a remote. I actually dl two apps but the other one is hard to navigate, so I deleted it and use this one exclusively. It's easy to use and got me watching my favorite shows again. If my remote never shows up, it doesn't really matter.
