Glitches. Can't get past the pop up windows in it telling you about the features and what you can do with the app... It just keeps popping back up and won't let me do anything else

It may be convenient if you are trying to easily raise money, but honestly the website works well enough for that. My issue with the app is that they get the kids all excited about making their stickers and heart heroes come to life with the augmented reality part of the app. Then it turns out that not all phones are compatible with that feature. I downloaded the app last year because she was desperate to use that feature. It worked last year. Now this year it says my device (same phone) is not compatible. Not all of us get new phones every year or 2. It really shouldn't be so complicated that a 2 year old phone can't work with the feature.

*UPDATE* almost 5 years later and this app is worse than before. It doesn't even do anything after I log my child on. It's just blank, with no activity, with the American Heart Association emblem. The website works far more better. Don't recommend. *2018* App doesn't connect to FB or email contacts. It's only good for seeing my children's progress.

For the most part, I think it's a good app. I think it needs to be easier to update that you have participated that day. Currently, the only way I have been able to reach that is by entering the app, viewing the web page, logging into HQ, editing the profile and then from there going to the events page. There has got to be a easier and less time consuming route to do that. Additionally, selecting that you have participated should be based on the calendar day (date) instead of on a 24 hour cycle.

The "scan heart image check" does not work in app nor do any of the games. I saw someone else posted about this as well. My child was excited to see the characters come to life on the app but was disappointed when we found out that it was not working. Everything else worked perfectly fine. :)

The app doesn't really work. I'd rather use the website. Upon installing and scanning my collection envelope, VR things were popping up everywhere but none would stay in the frame. The how-to videos are the same. Bouncing around my screen but not actually able to be watched. Pretty disappointing.

Glitchy. It started glitching where I can't log the days in the challenge; it won't scroll to show it. I can't change it back to "be kind" when I can get to that part. Made a self donation and it's not checking that challenge off and that's all she needs to finish all 8.

So my daughter has finished 9 out of the 10 missions. Only one she has to do is you guesses it the heart checker one. She is devastated she can't finish the mission. Looking at most peoples reviews this is the problem with most. This needs to be addressed and fixed ASAP. You get kids all excited to do this stuff only for them to fail simply because their parents do not have the latest phones? Worse mine is only a year old it should b able to do AR. I can with other games I play.
