Downloaded this as the county sponsored emergency alert app about a month ago and it worked exactly as it should. This new update that requires physical activity monitoring is ridiculous. Not only does it need the physical activity and location but even once you do enable every permission it wants you to enable, it still sends notifications saying "genasys is tracking your location". Literally the only notifications I've gotten from this app (aside from one nearby fire alert) is about permission

I am going to uninstall this app. I found it useful when we had a wildfire nearby earlier in the year, where our house was in a zone under evacuation warning. However, with the latest update, it is constantly pestering me to enable physical activity monitoring, which I refuse to do.

seems useful, but the latest update made it start asking for physical activity info every time it grabs my location. This seems unnecessary and the app doesn't want to stop doing it, so I may uninstall it.

app keeps asking for permission for I don't know what. but the notices just keep coming. I open the app and don't see anything that calls for my attention or permission.

Genasys, why do you now require the "Physical Activity" permission? Googling that permission says many developers use it to monitor your fitness activities and driving habits, and they sell that information to advertisers and insurance companies. Would give you five stars otherwise.

updating my location every 2 minutes while I walk around my house is killing my battery. Why are physical activity permissions needed in addition to location???

It keeps asking for my health data. It doesn't need that data to warn me if I'm in an evacuation zone.

Extremely useful app. We've had two major wildfires that came within single digit miles of our house. This App notified me as soon as there was an evac level change to my zone, which is highly appreciated as the only other way we were notified was by social media or driving to the nearest store. Map and road info is accurate to my county and state. Contacted support about a slight issue with zone info, provided them all the useful info I could. I received a direct response and reason same day!
