The devotional content is great. But the app has been getting clunky in recent weeks, now to the point of crashing on date selection. I just tried reinstalling, and now, the "Restore Purchases" function doesn't work. I don't like the pushiness for purchasing a subscription. Like any other ebook, I should be able to read the three devotional books that I paid for.

Giving 1 Star because Zero is not an option. Hate the App...Love the devotions. I purchased this app and Jesus Listens. Dark mode has devotions that can't be seen unless highlighted because of font color + some missing. Developers were notified but no fix in over a year. New apps have added to server load and it takes minutes to load on 1 GB fiber. Very poor prrformace now. About ready to go back to book copy. Will update review when fixed.

I have followed JESUS CALLING for probably 15 years. I have bought and gifted several of the book version. I have used the phone app myself, and the daily email. I cannot exaggerate the comfort and the inspiration the readings have brought me. Many of the messages have clearly arrived in my day as direct hits from God aiming them between my eyes!

Extremely disappointed. A friend bought this book for me when I was a teen. Helped me get through some hard times. Had the app in the past. It starts you off on January 1st. It's November. To correct the date, you have to pay for it? When did it become cool to profit from faith like this? How lame and utterly pathetic. At least correct the dates if you want someone to buy this. Jesus Christ.

Love the content, hate the app The app has gotten progressively worse over the years. Navigation is super difficult, now you can't even swipe between days and the devotional, you have to repeatedly return to the contents. Super annoying. And now with the latest update, there are massive delays between every tap action I take. I've confirmed this on multiple devices, definitely due to the latest version. Just about ready to go back to the old fashioned paper devo.

***I have to add to my post from last year! IT'S STILL AN INCREDIBLE APP!! 🤗I have had this App for years and I read the daily devotional every morning to start my day! Every reading pertains to my situation at the perfect time! The App is extra simple to navigate and has been beyond a blessing to me during some tough times! I also want to mention that there is minimal if any Ads at all!

Update Aug 07, 2024 - worked for two weeks. Now, I cannot use app without repurchasing subscription, AGAIN. Cannot access any of the content since changes made to app in January. I have corresponded with publisher numerous times; each time being told to uninstall and reinstall, to no avail. It is a wonderful book. However, app is worthless. *** Solution from developer: uninstall and reinstall, AGAIN!! Then, if still having trouble report through the app which doesn't work!

You have to subscribe in order to read the current day. The first few days of January are free. If it's January, that's fine, but it's November!
