Had the drone for a couple years now haven't used in a while finally went to use it this morning and it the app won't work unless you uninstall and reinstall it each time you want to use it. I finally got it going and hit the record button and the app crashed. Glad it had a return home button

I have had the drone for 5 months. I have been pleased. It has worked as advertised except for the past 3 weeks. The app would not connect to the device. I contacted customer support and they attempted to walk me through every possible scenario to no avail. Turns out it was because I was running a VPN on my phone. When I turned it off, it connected right away. I suggest those who cannot connect and have a VPN try turning it off. I have taken some very memorable videos in a tropical forest...

Actually 3.5. I do think this app is excellent. However, I need a better VR mode. Please eliminate the lag time so that I can fly more accurately using a VR headset. I am currently using an earlier version that has less lag time. Also, please include the flight data (compass,spd,alt etc..) in VR view and eliminate the other app feature buttons not used during VR/FPV flight. Please try to improve the HUD/UI for the VR mode to create a better pilot view. Then I will give 5 stars. Thanks!

Update. Oct 24, 2022, noticed an update for the app. Installed and tested. All features are now working for the phone. Upgrading from 3 stars to 5. All feature won't work with Samsung S22 Ultra. Purchased the Ruko F11 GIM2 from Amazon. Thought everything was working fine. Rewatched some videos of this drone and saw a number of things different and not working. Will say that customer service has been fantastic. They have responded to all my emails.

Camera doesn't work. Drone on, synced with controller, connected to Ruko wifi, open app, click Controls and all I see is the default beach picture and buttons say "Device no connect." Useless. Have F11 Gim. EDIT: App works fine after turning off mobile data, which is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation or website. Changed from 1 star to 3 stars.

For being a necessary app it absolutely sucks... I love the video quality and picture quality of the drone but that's about all I can say about this drone. I consistently get kicked out of the app and have to turn off wifi so I can reconnect the app and then reestablish connection to the drone. Right now the app is stuck in beginner mode. I turn off the mode click save and then the app gets stuck "saving" till I decide I've had enough. Drone is good, app is awful.

This is actually my 2nd drone. My 1st one was an F11 and the SJ GPS Pro app I used worked well. This 2nd drone is an upgrade from the 1st. It's an F11 GIM so it calls for this app. I have had no app crashes at all but the first few times I hit the return home button it would simply just pass over me and then start doing circular motions but I read somewhere to hit the 1 and 11 positions on the controller to recalibrate it and that worked. I love the new camera & controller but the app is fine!

Take that one star rating and cut it in half. Then cut it again. F11 gim worked good for two weeks, then wouldn't connect to the app, and hasn't stayed connected for more than 20 seconds in the last 5 or 6 months. Can't get a straight answer from ruko app developer. I'm going dji mavic, or mavic mini. Costs more but it tastes great and it's less filling.
