Would be nice if, when I got the notification to see the word of the day, it didn't always always revert to the word from July 24 when clicking and opening the notification. Also, for an app that is focused on building vocabulary, how did they manage to miss, on the weekly summary, "Let's REVISE this week's words"?? Are we changing the words? No, we're REVIEWING them. The word for your word app is REVIEW. Hard to take an Illiterate vocabulary app seriously. This is why I stay off the play store

I like this app. It is simple and fits pretty much everything i was looking for. The two widget options are nice, although i wish the part of speech was on both; an abbreviated part of speech in parenthesis after the word on the smaller widget would be really helpful. May i suggest looking into adding widget settings somewhere down the road so the padding can be turned off and what is included can be personalized? I think this would definitely help get your app to a larger crowd.

The word of the day is great but why does the notification come thru at 3:30 in the morning? Woke me up the last 2 night's. There is no way to change the time. You can turn the notification off, which I've done now, just can't change time so now i won't get it. Thank you to the developer for your response. I appreciate you saying you'll fix the problem. However...with notifications off It still sent me a notification in the middle of the night. Gonna have to uninstall.

To me, the best part is the "Did you know?" section which goes into the words' origins. So, not only do you get definitions, antonyms, synonyms, and pronunciations, reliably delivered each day, but it's utterly fascinating to learn about where the words came from, and if/how they've evolved. I have found no other dictionary in Play that does this so well. And you can mark them as favorites for studying, too. I'm a native English speaker and am seeing words I've never seen before. Well done!

Following message: (Please disable 'Pause app activity if unused', as it is likely preventing us from sending notifications and affecting the app's correct functionality. ) My phone doesn't allow it because the function is Greyed out, hidden or non-existent therefore can't be disabled. And I can't have the word notifications on time or none at all. Can you fix it and do a work around it. Thanks.

This is the best app I found for vocabulary building (and I tried several). Does its job perfectly, simple to use and elegant design. And the best part is it's free, not even showing ads. The decision to make a donation was a no-brainer. I just have two suggestions to make that, if implemented, would make it even better imho: 1. The selected theme should be applied to the widget too, and 2. It'd be great if you gave the option to choose the timing of the word of the day notification.

I like how I can get a daily notification for a single new word (makes it manageable when it's just one), and I can keep the ones that interest me as a bookmark to refer to them later. The UI is also attractive. The definitions are helpful, but the usage examples are a bit too long and complex for the word usage to really sink in.

It's great, I use it through the widget so that I get reminded of it each time I visit my home screen. It looks good when the phone is in dark mode, but I wish it had a light mode alternative, ideally being able to shift betweet the two dynamically according to the phone's global theme settings.
