App constantly in the "looking for unit" mode, even though the device is already connected via Bluetooth and can be operated through other phone controls. The device connects to Bluetooth just fine, the issue is the app. The app also has no functionality when it's in its searching for device mode, so it's basically useless if it doesn't connect, which it won't.

Absolutely love Cardo but their software is abysmal. I'm talking both the phone app as well as their desktop app. It's embarrassing how bad it is. Constant crashing (multiple phones, tried reinstalls, updates, restarts you name it), firmware updates are impossible because the desktop app bugs out, phone app keeps crashing trying to connect to either one of my packtalk blacks. Just.. Useless. Message to Cardo: Do better.

The app needs lots of reworking. 95 percent of the time it cannot and will not find and connect to my Packtalk Edge. It doesn't even support YouTube Music but it supports Spotify? Wth Only slight useful part is it makes it easier to connect to another rider. Other than that it is useless.

Total junk. Didn't think it could possibly be harder to keep connected than the cheap Chinese headsets. I was wrong. Edit- it turns out I needed to pair my bike in GPS mode, which is not explained at all. I spoke to tech support and advised them to review and revise their manual. That being said, the app is definitely functional, but doesn't look very modern. The buttons are big though, so that a plus for using on the go. Google could take a lesson in that regard for software design.

My wife and I have been using the Cardo Spirit for a year now. My only complaint is that it cuts off the first but of what you say. It seems to be off until it detects your voice, but doesn't turn on quick enough. One upgrade is recommend would be the ability to turn off the cardo unit from the app. If I forget to turn it off after the ride I have to go to the garage and turn it off when I realize my phone is still connected.

App seems to do fine for me, a little adjustment of the mixing sliders to get the volumes good and I'm happy. One thing I would like is that Spotify is native to the app, it would be nice if they would add YouTube music and other players. I can still use other apps to play music, I use YouTube music, and it works well, but there is a setting in the app for a default player. I'm using a Pixel 6.

What an awfully made app. It freezes up. It silently fails at doing things. It's super janky. $300 devices should not have software this terrible. Edit: I'm not talking about voice recognition. I'm talking about the app turning to molasses when you tap some of the buttons. If feels like running modern software on a 10 year old phone... which is not to say this software is futuristic. It has a 10 years outdated aesthetic. And now it puts ads in your notification area.

Absolutely useless system if you demand more than one audio input. Audio priority has never worked as claimed. I can not listen to music and get a radar detector signal in at the same time. That makes the entire comms system useless for my needs. The app is also next to useless as it does not aid in any connections or mode changes.
