I love the product Chatbooks produces but the app is so inconsistent. I purchased 2 year subscription thinking the kinks woul work themselves out & they haven't. Each time you open a new book to create, the format is completely different. I have trouble loading, and building each book. It's constantly throwing me an error. I will say the customer service is amazing. You chat with someone instantly. And with a little time & work, the problem does get worked out. But I would like no issues.

If I could give this app negative stars I would. Never loads. Billing is an issue. Constantly changing so you can't do the same things you've been doing to the books. Great concept. Wish is known this before I started. The lag on this app is insane. Be prepared for it to take you DAYS to finish one book because the app doesn't load. And the Customer Service is an AI.

I considered rating this app a year ago when it stopped uploading my images correctly, but when it was fixed a week ago I decided to try again before reviewing. Today they sent me soft cover instead of hardcover books, so I messaged them and asked what could be done. They responded promptly, not with an AI, which was a HUGE plus, and resolved the issue the same day. Very happy with the support and the quality of the hardcover books. The price seems fair, and I appreciate having physical media.

I have loved Chatbooks, but doing everything on my phone is not as easy as sitting at my computer where the view is bigger. Also, editing picture position on the phone is difficult because the view is tiny, too compact, and it jumps around. I just let the order of pictures go this time because I was getting frustrated. Please make this easier on my Chromebook - computer.

There was little explanation on what you are purchasing and the adds online are deceptive. Furthermore I printed 2 books and now on my 3rd for a 1 year subscription and the app completely quit working. They have not been helpful in fixing it. All they keep having me do is Uninstall and reinstall. The books are cute but if they do not fix it I am turning it in as fraud.

I appreciate the product, but it's not the easiest to create and modify the books before printing. Still use it every year anyway! It's really difficult to move pictures around on my android and I can never upload them in chronological order... so I spend ages moving them around awkwardly.

I've been a loyal chat books user for years - probably ordered 100+ books. I've always love the product & pricing. However the last two years prices have jumped and the app has become more dysfunctional with many errors. Recently, I feel like I am being forced into books and charges that I don't want. And now, I cant edit from my computer, only my phone - not a good feature. With this said, customer service has always been top notch. But I'm considering going elsewhere :(

Used the app from late 2022-2023, loved it and didn't have any problems. However, just started reusing the app and it's harder to work with; I can't access any of my prior books, customizing the book pages is harder, caption positioning is really low in my opinion, and I had an issue that was supposed to be resolved but hasn't yet. Still love the company, but the app needs some more attention since whatever updates happened in 2024.
