It's a great app and I use it every time I hit the slopes or head into the backcountry. The "Max Speed" readout will end up being the death of me since I constantly try to set a new record. The only glitch I've found is that the edits to tracks in history where you add a name, rating, snow conditions, etc. tend to get lost. I love all the data collected, mapping, and individual run stats.

Generally a good ski tracking app. It's fun to keep track of everything though trying to beat maximum speed is probably going to get me injured. My only complaint is that it's too easy to accidentally delete a day's worth of tracking if you're tired at the end of the day. Else it's pretty good. I like being able to export the maps and charts to Google Photos.

Everytime I start going down the mountain it gives me a gps error. I get about 3 error messages on each run and it records about a quarter of my day... ok n a good day. It seems to work great going up the lift though. 🙄 I'm pretty disappointed because last time I had this app - 6 years ago and on a much less sophisticated phone- it worked just fine. I have a galaxy S7.

I've used it ever since I got my first android phone. It's NOT battery-hungry and NOT only for skiing and saves .gpx and .k* files to feed into google earth. It tries to interpret car trips into ski runs, which is kind of cool, but the saved files don't care what you were doing, just when and where you were. A warning: Turn off the 'battery monitor' unless you really need it -- I had forgotten about that setting and it stopped tracking 2/3 of the way through a car trip although there was 30% of the battery left. Google maps IS a battery hog, and that's what ate up the battery -- Ski Tracks had used only 3%. I liked it enough to pay money for it (it may be free now) AND the authors respond to email! Addendum: I originally used it on a really cheap BLU phone whose GPS was, to say the least, wildly inaccurate. The occasional straight-line forays hundreds of yards and MILES into the hinterlands were hilarious, especially when part of the "trail" was through a lake. The accuracy of the path depends on the phone itself -- if there's a problem, it's NOT with Ski Tracks. It's been perfectly lovely with the Motorola G2, Motorola G5 and Pixel 2.

Worked great on Pixel 2...10AM-3PM use brought battery from 98% to around 75%, which isn't bad and obviously it wasn't the only app running during that time (I did pause it while indoors at lunch). I like the simple interface, which favors key functions and usability over dazzling me with color. If I could ask for another feature, it would be more around the analysis one views after the day, in particular to make it easy to see where exactly my highest speed was achieved.

Works very well on Samsung S8. One suggestion: some dialogs (e.g. confirmation for "pause") show in dark blue letters on black background - hard to see on a bright day. White letters would work better. I also have a spooky feeling that the app overestimates the peak speed, at least while skiing in Europe (in the US it felt reasonable). The speed is reported in km/h on both continents. Must be paranoia on my part...

UNCONSISTENT DATA WARNING!! Myself and my partner have both purchased this app and decided to test it out while skiing. We've been using this for 10 different ski days now, and I'm sad to say that whilst we ski together, stop together and get on every lift together, the app is inconsistent and show different data for both our trackings. My partner would have 9 runs, while I have 33 runs. Ski distance is of 10k difference. It's ridiculous, how do we know what's reliable?!

Good app for those interested in keeping track of their slope stats. Also good if your worried about your stats being cleared or lost, as you can backup your tracks, although Importing them is not very intuitive... devs please add a import button? ❤ The only thing that bothers me, runs and lifts are both red, kind of difficult to tell them apart when looking back at your day. Suggestion, lifts = dotted and blue, runs = solid red.
