It does what it says on the cover, very simple, guess words for as long as you want - it does a decent job at that. But it takes up far too much space. It's racked up over 220 MB of storage. For a game with a single page and barebone graphics? Something's not adding up. Mindustry, a highly detailed game with diverse graphics and tons of maps took up half the space. Maybe it's the unity game engine they decided to use for some reason. Sorry, but I'm going to play this game on a website instead.

I paid for the ad free version, so why would they give me 2 ads as a "reward/prize" for reaching 100 points? This is absurd. Getting ads as a reward would be absurd in normal times but when I pay for an ad free app, it's insane. I have to close the app to avoid the ads. I can't just close the ads out. I saw a reply to a review that these ads are for hints, but it's still frustrating to have to stop for the ads. At least ask us if we want the feature for hints, otherwise it's just annoyiny

I purchased the ad-free version of this game for $2.99 but unfortunately the "hint" button is animated & won't stop bouncing until you click on it, which brings it to... You guessed it! ADS. Sneaky! They've also switched the grays so that light gray is for used squares & dark gray for those remaining. This is opposite the NYT version & confusing for the brain bc it doesn't make sense visually. Would give 4 stars if not for these issues as the interface is clean, simple, & intuitive--plus stats!

I've never seen game ads where you have to click THREE buttons, with timers between them, to move on. They show up after every game. The app also pesters you with reminders that you can pay to get rid of the ads--we know, you've made them as annoying and disruptive as possible on purpose. Sometimes I pay to remove ads. Frequently I buy games which don't have ads at all. Today is not one of those days, because this is manipulative and I hit uninstall.

I think my previous review disappeared This was a great game until today. I paid for the ad-free version, but now, after about 900 games, I am seeing 'rewards' to click on. The 'reward' is an interminably long ad for a game, after which you cannot return to Word Challenge unless you buy the game. Please fix it! Addendum: The ads and 'prizes' are just too annoying to deal with. I am uninstalling it. Don't be conned into paying to use this game ad-free!

Just started playing last week and I love this game. I love how there's no timer so you can go at your own pace and how you can put the letters in the blocks without needing to press "submit" when in thinking mode. Many users talk about a "word of the day", but I don't see that. I've been able to play more than once in a day and it's different words for each level. I don't seem to have the option of a "daily challenge". However, I'm happy with this version!

Would be five stars, but sometimes gives ads after every game for long streaks, the ad every 2-3 games is a good rate. Would be 4 stars, but it gave me the word window, which according to experts is six letters, in a five letter game. That would drop it to 1 star if this wasn't an isolated incident (so far) and this weren't the best version of the game I've found.

Probably the most annoying app ever. And that's saying a lot. Full page ads in the middle between every game with no way to turn them off or get past them. And worse, when you finally get past one there are two more. In the beginning I would just turn the app off and then turn it back on, but truly it's not worth it to keep it.
