EDITED 12/26/2024. I can't count the number of times I pick up the phone and open the app only to see 'NOT CONNECTED." We have contacted and received no response. Honestly, I thought this feature was going to be really convenient and save money, as we could set it while we were away from home. My recommendation? Buy anything but a Trane: (end of edit) It does not stay connected. It happens frequently and we've gotten no help from the installer.

The December 12-03-2024 update broke the app, shows 72F inside no mater what the temp is, when you raise or lower the temp on heater mode in the app it dose nothing on the thermostat it self, this is the same on my phone, tablet and the Trane webpage on my Windows 11 computer. Before the update never had a problem. These are Android devices with the latest updates. The version of the Trane App is 8.2.0 and the thermostat is the XL824

Update 12/19/24 You get 1 more star keep rolling out the features. I finally got run log on my ux360 and the in the app only thing left is compressor% on the app. I was really disappointed when i got this thermostat the nest it replaced had more features than my new ux360 thermostat. But now since the updates things are getting much better.

The newer versions tend to open to white screens about 30% of the time and I'm forced to "force stop" the app and then reopen. Otherwise, the information that the app gives is very good but this little glitch is annoying.

This app is pretty much useless. It constantly disconnects from the thermostat. The thermostat is connected to the wifi but the app doesn't stay connected to the thermostat. I would like to see additional features on the app, like daily usage.

The app was fine before it was "improved." The numbers don't display the full temp on the screen, only the first digit. The schedules are more difficult to set and control than the prior version of the app. Horrible since the last update.

UPDATE: Sept 2024 - it now auto turns itself. Issue reported, no resolution, no further follow-up from Trane. Been using the app without major issues since Oct 2017 for my Trane heat pump. Now when I want to use the app while laying down at night - I see half an unusable screen and I have to try turn it upright. I hate when working apps are broken.

I've had this Trane since I moved into this house (6) years, this month 😳 . First time ( representatives help) I installed This App and just loves ❤️ it so FAR. I'll check ✔️ back y'all. The App saved me hundreds of dollars, I must say. It enable me to monitor my thermostat screen to " WAKE UP " from blank white, after rebooting the system. Now I have control of my system " TRANE " I LOVE ❤️ IT. SO FAR.
