Disappointed and charged despite cancelling I signed up for iScout hoping it would be useful, but it wasn’t at all what I expected. I cancelled during the free trial period, but was still charged $100 CAD for a full month. When I tried to cancel again, the “Cancel” button conveniently didn’t work. I contacted customer service, but they’ve been unhelpful and haven’t offered a refund. For the price, this app should be much more transparent and functional. This app has been great. I have recommended it to any person that has asked me what I am doing well I am scanning books. Or when someone asks me which I app I use to scan with. I have used it for a couple years now and never had a issue until recently. I reached out to support on a Sunday and they were very quick to respond. They were very helpful. They were able to help me realize that it was a setting on my phone that caused the issue and not the app.

I raved about this app to many people. However it is simultaneously not allowing me to log in to the app due to an "inactive account" whilst telling me my account is active when I log on to the web page. They took my money just fine but now I can't use it at all so... I've tried everything I can think of to resolve it. Additionally, their "customer support" is merely a FAQ page, no way to actually contact someone for help.

When it comes to barcode and ISBN scanning. This app so far does it faster and more accurate. I've tested many. However, rating a 3 because of Text input. it is sub par. when scouting books on apps. the visual scanner also needs work. Unable to use Swype. After inputing book titles if there is similar options I must reenter title when I back off the first. Vs simply go back to the search screen. And other text input issues. Great for auto, bad for manual input.

The app doesn't work. It's works for a second then crashes. We used the higher paying plan so we didn't need to be connected to the internet and still says network problem? OK. Don't waste your time. This app will soak up your time just to money grab you and not perform the service that you payed for. Stay away!!!!

The only way the analytics would be accurate is if you scan a book only ONE TIME(per day). But who does that? When I'm sourcing, I'm going fast... I just listen for the chime and throw it in the basket. I never look at the screen until I'm finished scanning. Then I'll get somewhere off to the side and re-scan everything in my basket and cull the low value books that aren't keepers. By the time I leave the store, my analytics are WAY OFF. There needs to be a CLEAR DATA OPTION. That would help!!!

Has too many problems for the cost. I have only had the app for two days, but have needed to update it twice. This caused me to have to uninstall the app both times and reinstall in order to make it work. Then I had to redownload the database each time. The app crashed several times while trying to download and then when you go to test it it tells you it's no good and you have to redownload. When it works it works great...but it doesn't work too often to be worth $40 per month

The app works great! I was able to scan roughly 1k books in about 1.5 hours. Not sure if it's my phone or the app, but the time it takes to focus on an ibsn is frusterating. I hope they add some customizable alert sound soon - Cha ching, booyah, mario brother coin sound. You know fun sounds. The buzzer for reject can weigh on you after hearing it 1000 times.
