4/5* since update 31 Oct. Some bad reviews show a lack of understanding of the technology, but instructions DO need to be clearer! TIPS: before switching profiles, enable airplane mode. After switching disable a/p mode & YOU MUST REBOOT! NB: some cellular/eSIM providers won’t email a QR code. You have to install THEIR app, which will likely flag up a phone using SIM adapter as incompatible, and won’t allow install a profile. Therefore, you MUST use a provider that gives the option of email QR.

Barely functional. ESIM.me claims this phone is supported but the application and card have been reinstalled and restarted multiple times and the application hangs or refuses to load. Over a year later, and usability is marginally better, the card works after rebooting three or four times. But everytime you reboot, maybe it drops out again. And God forbid you try and install a new esim profile.

The functionality is absent on the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G, which is purportedly compatible. The device fails to detect a card, initially displaying the message 'unable to retrieve profiles', followed by 'unable to retrieve EID'. Subsequently, it reports 'the SIM card slot is not responding. Please reboot your device'. I was compelled to use my older, unused phone to achieve functionality. I remain dissatisfied that it does not operate on a device expected to be compatible.

Lots of negative reviews but it took me a small bit of patience to install the SIM card( dual SIM phone- put it on the number 1 slot) ; rebooted the phone a few times and removed the SIM card holder a few times. End of the day, I installed a cheap local ESim ( from mobimatter) to check out if it works. Works fine! Will use it for upcoming travels and am very happy. Only 4 out of 5 stars because of the faffing around to get it going. I'm happy and will now order another for my wife's phone.

BAD EXPERIENCE. I am currently traveling to several countries. My first esim profile purchase for UAE was okay after running crazy through my data settings because there was no clear instructions how to make it work which was a hassle. I later on purchased 3 more esim profiles for EU, Taiwan and Philippines for my travel. Nothing worked and the app always crashes. I wasted more than 200 Euros for this. Customer service is also non responsive. Big NO. Buy an esim built in phone instead.

Waste of money. It's almost impossible for the app to recognise the Sim card! If you move to another device you have to pay €10 just to control the Sim card!! I went and used another provider 5ber and the experience is pleasant!

Flexiroam, Airalo, Holafly and none of the major esim providers work with esm.me! you have to buy one of their own overpriced"esim packages".... Instead of an esim enabler by that point its just a overpriced travelsimcard that doesnt let you add any simcard beyond their own.

Unreliable. Whe I start the app, it often tells that the eSIM card is not installed. I need to reboot the phone and try again. Also, it constantly freezes when trying to disable one esim profile and turn on the other. And why the hell does it need to be online when switching between the profiles that are downloaded already?! I am without the data when I need this setvice!
