The Polar Beat app is supposed to update the firmware on the H10. I've installed it on 3 different devices, each for a few days at least, and none of them has prompted me to update the H10. I don't understand why there isn't the most basic function of "check for update". "Upgrade" section of the app is only to upsell. I have a sense that the firmware update is paywalled, or resteicted to those that sign up for a Polar Flow account. Edit: the dev response is the opposite of helpful.

I hate to turn on Google precision for GPS and this application requires it! I've got other applications (Mi Fit, Adidas Runtastic) and they just work without this need. If I'm not wrong, you are talking about BLE scanning that requires Google precision, not connection itself. So, why your application needs to scan each time the same bluetooth device? If it is already paired, what for? Again, l've got Mi Band & Mi Fit, they use Bluetooth to connect to each other, they don't need this precision.

Update 8/15/24 - Google is now blocking the app from connecting to Google Fit. Google Fit is my goto fitness tracker for receiving data from all my health tracking devices. The Polar Beat app is the only one being blocked. I downgraded Polar to 2 stars for being noncompliant with Fit. I use the Polar Beat app near daily with my Polar heart rate monitor to track hiking and biking exercise. The system provides valuable feedback on the intensity of my workouts.

Despite having disabled any battery optimization and having had only the Polar H10 to my Google Pixel 4a, after a while, the heart frequency stops being updated, showing the same value for all the time. The app is still running, as I still hear the voice updating me on how am I doing, and the GPS track is recorded correctly. If I unlock the phone and look at it, then it resumes updating it but for only a few seconds. I think I'm forced to buy a small computer to make the best out of it.

This app works pretty good, but I mostly just use it when I'm speed walking on my treadmill, and it does not allow me to type in a manual walking speed. I think the calories burned counter would be more accurate if it took into account how fast I was actually walking. This app seems to report a very high calories burned count. I don't think it's accurate.

Horrible GPS based information. The app has been misinforming me about the distance I run each time. It inflates the distance by around 10%. Horrible. Horrible. Been reading that it's been like this for ages and yet can't be fixed. Will be moving to a different provider. Update: I did as suggested by support and still distance covered during exercise is inflated around 5% compared to apple watch and compared to runna app which uses phone GPS. Both runna and polar share battery saving settings.

Polar Beat is very helpful with heart rate zone training by using Benefit target. I am a power walker, and it's 9 months since I started training for 21km and 42 km events. Please allow me to ask if it would be possible either to increase the timer of "Basic Long" and "Steady state" to 180 minutes or allow the end user to write his desired duration in minutes. It would be very useful especially for the long runs (in power walking speed, e.g. 7:45/km). Thank you very much for this beautiful app.

Very Positive, some suggestions ...the app has preset activities. Consider adding more sports, i.e. motocross, skateboarding (street), skateboarding (halfpipe), snowboarding (freestyle), snowboarding (halfpipe), or let us make our own. EDIT Jn2025- Thanks for adding those activities-it makes the app more relevant! We need to be able to edit the record of the activity-Sometimes I forget to end the session and it records me walking around long after I'm done. Can you let us cut off portions?
