This app doesn't work. Thought it would be nice to take the ferry. Won't allow to purchase tickets. Doesn't seem to have a full schedule. There are only 1-2 ferries per day from my location. Who leaves work by 3pm in Manhattan? App doesn't seem to recognize my location. Would be nice if they had an interactive map of ferry routes and shuttle bus routes. This app doesn't have much in it. What it does have, doesn't seem to work well. Uninstalling now.

First, please stop asking for feedback in the app, since the form submission doesn't work. The app is very convenient, but there are a few bugs. If you don't have a data connection, it often doesn't know that you have tickets even if you don't save your tickets to the cloud. Also, if you don't exit properly, the app ends up in a weird state where, the next time you go to use a ticket, you think you're at the activation screen but you can't activate any tickets.

How does an app that has never been updated start crashing suddenly? I'll live with the ancient UI, but the one thing you can't have with something that's part of your commute is the unreliability. App won't stay open today. Crashes within a second of loading. Edit: after a year or so of not working on pixel phones (because it wasn't 64bit compliant) the app recently started working again. Today it won't open because it says an update is required but there is no update in the app store.

Horrible. App would not let me complete my transaction. Tried it 20 times on one phone, tried it 5 times on another. Would not continue after entering my card information. Ferry personnel were not helpful at all, just kept repeating 'you have to download the app' which I had. They let us ride to our destination, but the experience was terrible & frustrating.

Cannot add a credit card. Even after scrolling through to correct month and selecting day 1 (which will add the correct exp date), the information doesn't stick. Figured it out...need to click the save icon. As a former web designer this app is poorly designed if the user can click "Done" and nothing is stored. The Save icon is above the natural flow and is somewhat grayed out or difficult to notice. Overall, a bad serial process for entering a credit card. 1. User must painstakingly scroll through months/years and KNOW to select day 1 for expiration date. 2. Clicking Next or Done does not store and end the process 3. Save icon is an assumed step and is out of step with the serial process. A "Save this card" button would be very clear.

This app has always been glitchy but now it is completely unusable. Today it prompted me to update it but when I went to the Play store there was no update and it still wouldn't allow me to use the app. So I finally uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Now that I've done that every time I click on "schedule" it gives me a bunch of locations that are in another city and they look like bus stops.

Some good features, most of them don't work 90% of the time. They have this annoying popup that prompts every time you open the app requesting feedback, but when you try to submit the feedback it returns an error EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The design is outdated and the UX is horrible. I only use it to check bus locations which lags. Buying tickets through the system breaks down at least 3-4 times a year & they make you buy a paper ticket. You don't get reimbursed, they still owe me $36 👎🏻

**Update: NY Waterway and Bytemark spent two weeks figuring out what was causing this issue and followed up with me directly. Happy to report the app works again and my tickets were not lost. ** After the update, I have not been able to login or pull my previously purchased tickets. I've had to resort to buying paper tickets again which are more reliable at this point. Waiting to hear back from the customer service team on the login issues.
