Carrier of last resort. I'm between two countries throughout the year so appreciated the ability to pause service from the app for extended periods of time. That's the only reason to use this carrier. Support is horrific. I went through multiple support requests over the course of a week each assuring me that my issue would be resolved within 24 hours, only to later blame device incompatibility (they knew the device from the beginning) and then charged me $20 for less than two days of service.

Customer support isn't fully uninformed & often kindly avoid answering important account questions via chat etc, I've been given the run around for months. I've been a Fi customer for a few years, the phone service is decent in terms of call quality for US connectivity but the limited data is irritating & the rate to upgrade data plan isn't as affordable as some other providers. the app has limited info regarding important account details & support has provided no assistance thus far.

When it works, it kinda works. When it doesn't, you're on your own. In 6 years, I've paid my bill for slower than average data transfer, then my phone quit working. "Contact support" the app says. "Can't help you" support says. Then you pay your bill like nothings wrong... because it's Google. Too big to care about 1 customer. Maybe it'll start working, maybe not. Who knows, just pay your bill as always. Really, it's best to just sign the 2-year contract with a real carrier.

Service ok for city, but not for traveling rural. Especially, if you travel for work, don't believe the coverage map on the website. I travel for work around Nevada and got GoogleFi by looking at the map on the website (zooming in highways and typing in mulitple zip codes). Definitely, not nearly accurate in the territories, I feel scammed a bit. Again, in Cities, its ok and most people would love the 'simply unlimited' plan

Very frustrated with this service while traveling abroad. Upgraded to unlimited plus to get service in the Bahamas and did not receive anything. And support says they are powerless to help with the bill because I didn't call them while the issue was happening. I figured Google would be better than this but they werent, and now im stuck with an extra bill for the month, on top of paying extra for another service while in the Bahamas.

Updating my review from 1 to 3 stars. App has greatly improved for managing privacy and security settings. Room for improvement in technical issue reporting and response. Just today found the diagnostic reporting w/ location feature on my own despite having many cell service issues due to location - customer service never informed me of this setting. 2 other phones on family plan in same location had no issues but my brand new phone did. Missed opportunity for this app & support to be seamless.

I've been trying to purchase a phone through Google fi for over 2 months. They keep canceling my orders and there's no real explanation as to why. I've changed my payment method three times. That's obviously not the problem. I could go to any carrier and buy a phone but I can't with Google fi. Their customer support is horrifyingly bad. No one cares to be accountable at all. They don't give a damn if you don't buy a phone.
