Update Nov 2024: 4 Stars. Developer has vastly improved U home app reliability. Original: I've had my ULock for 4 years. Ever since the major version update to the U home app, my lock lock randomly disconnects from Wi-Fi and I have to spend 30 minutes to reconnect it again. Very frustrating because the lock itself works well and the old app was much more reliable.

I'd like to see more options for automation. At the least a methodology to lock doors based on time of day. Currently automation requires a trigger of another Utech device and since I only have locks there's no flexibility. I'd also like to edit the home screen to only include my devices. It's very confusing to have light and alarm functions that I already have other brands.

Good app. looks nice. But it needs to be functional. It basically looks like a polished piece of turd. It needs a better way to obtain the lock status remotely via wifi...takes too long and isn't very reliable. Also, having an issue setting the schedule in the app after the latest app update (v3.2.0). old app was better

App is so slow to communicate to device it's worthless. Fingerprint, code, Devices are nice and work great but EAT batteries. Those devices go through batteries so fast it's ridiculous. This could all be fixed with software update. Why do other home apps and their devices work so well what others are so bad. This one and ecobee for instance are slow to communicate to their own devices. Hue and kasa communicate fast.

Since they've changed to the new App adding new products, most of the stuff I need stopped working. I can't connect directly via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to see my settings or logs. I can only go to Users screen. App worked perfectly fine before. I wish it had a better autolock feature like Eufy where you can set times to autolock other than the 5 min one in the App.

I bought the lock for the size. The apartment I live in has the deadbolt lock than internal deadbolt right above, so I needed something small. The amount of times I've had to reset this device, change the batteries, reconnect the Wi-Fi, disconnect the device and start all over, is just unacceptable. To get anything to reconnect takes hours of your day as well. I wouldn't recommend this product or the app. When it does work, having the auto lock timed is a nice feature.

I've had it with this product. First thing in the morning it's getting replaced. Dead batteries every month, connection errors every day, finger print reader never works. Absolute garbage when compared to the lock on my front door which works flawlessly. What's the point of keyless entry when I have to carry the key everywhere I go. Good riddance.

I used to love this lock. When it was sold, and even now, they claimed it integrated with Google home and Google Assistant. However, it does not. The fingerprint sensor stopped working on the lock almost immediately. And in the past year, the lock no longer integrates with Google home and Google Assistant, and the app does not work. The reasons I bought this lock no longer apply, and I can't recommend it anymore. This app is absolutely useless, and it renders the lock useless
