I just installed the latest version today. The FAQ, the Contact Us, and several other links come up with page not found. That this is a brand new version of the app I find that unbelievably incompetent of the programmers. The only reason I downloaded the app was to get notifications as the system is changing as of July 1st. However, I cannot find any place in the Android version of the app to set up notifications. The instructions online seem to apply to iphone. That's on VRE and not the app.

The app will not take my credit card or Smartbenefits information. So. I can't use the app to purchase or validate tickets, forcing me to keep using hardcopy tickets. The only thing I can assume is the software was developed for an iPhone, not for Android users. At least it gives me updated train status information. That's about all it's good for with my phone.

Keeps crashing. Does ANYONE test this app before VRE releases an update? Obviously not. When I open the app to show my ticket, the screen closes. Who is doing this work? TERRIBLE. Update, 12/5/24: I restarted my Pixel 6 THEEE TIMES just now and the app continues to close instead of displaying the ticket. Hey VRE: YOUR APP ISN'T WORKING. FIX IT.

This new update is the worst,it just leads you to the VRE website. What's the point? These old app allowed you to see how much longer until the next closest train arrives using GPS. Now it just takes you to the VRE website where it has that useless map that you have to use two fingers to use and doesn't give you a time for the trains arrival, only allows you to follow the train, meaning you literally have to watch as the train crawls to your stop with no indication of how long till it arrives.

Regardless of how I enter the credit card it's always rejected. This is the credit card I use everywhere. This is the credit card I use at the VRE stations. This app won't accept new style of credit cards where the numbers are not embossed on the front. The scanning of credit cards are absolutely atrocious. Hold the credit card in the correct position. Make sure to maintain it at the exact distance so all the borders are lit up. Don't move. Don't even breathe. Imagine if you had a disability.

What the heck?? You updated to an app that looks nicer but is literally unusable! Most of my selections don't actually take and it took me 4 tries to purchase one ticket and even then it didn't actually want to accept my finger print. Also, if my tickets are all the same, PLEASE make them stack. I do not need a new record for each 10 trip just because I bought them on different days! I also cannot increase the number of tickets I want any more which is unacceptable.

How can I give this app less than one star? Disappointing that the official app is so poorly organized. It wants you to create an account but doesn't remember any details. Govre was a much better app, that was well organized and pretty much issue free. This app is geared for electronic ticketing, so if you like most riders using paper ticket, you'll find it useless. I just want basic info: where's my train, when will it be here and what's the delay.

Ghost tickets show up in the avaliable tab. This are tickets that I used months ago. You can activate them and they appear as a valid ticket with time ticking down like a valid ticket. Can only if you look at the date. It says valid July 31. Please fix issue. I have clicked on those instead of my valid tickets by mistake. Would like to delete them but app won't let me. I even Uninstalled and reinstalled and they still show up.
