This has been very reliable for me! The ability to add steps like stop, fixer, and washes is handy.

OK app but overly complicated and confusing interface. I don't understand the point of the archive function. There should be a simple way to save your custom settings/process to the archive. In general the interface could be simpler and more intuitive. Plus there are a few bugs when you add steps. Sometimes they don't show up. But if you do it again it says entry already exists.

Good app, overall. The flexibility to create a fully customized chain of steps is fantastic. One request would be to have it pop up a message that it can't find a valid time for a given combination of developer + film. As it is, the app sits there, showing you a blank timer, and refusing to allow you to save as a favorite, with no explanation. Worse, if you rearrange the process to add a pre-soak step before the main timer (which is great that you can!), then the developer timer crashes out leaving you staring at a useless screen while trying to remember how many seconds it's been, and trying desperately to sync up to a digital clock nearby while you switch over to a stopwatch app and try to get it sync'd to the nearest 30 seconds. So a validation check on each step of the process would be helpful. :)

Works perfectly well for me. All the films and my go to developer are in the database, times and calculations have worked out perfectly well. The added liquid mixing calculator is super helpful if too lazy to do it myself. Yes, you have to get used to some of the interface, but after a quick period of getting familiar with everything I have no problems with setting up my process and can quickly go from black and white to colour chemistry. Overall does exactly what I hoped it would do.

Excellent app - for me it's invaluable. (Far, far better than the Massive Developing App, which I find very confusing and cumbersome). Film Developer Pro is improving all the time and users are able to rate the developing times and suggest alterations or improvements. I use this app very frequently and - by and large - the recommendations are very good. Strongly recommended.

User Interface is a bit clunky and not that intuitive but the app does a good job once you get used to it. A button to reset all search-parameters at once - like developer/ ASA / agitation rhythm etc. - would be nice. Right now you have to reset every value yourself, because the grey checkmarks only help if you type in the parameters in a specific order. A simple way to reset the values would earn the app the 5th star. Nevertheless, definitely the best app out there.

Used this to develop a roll of 120 Ilford hp5 plus on d-76, and it came out way over exposed. I thought it was my mistake with a new type of film, but then I checked the development times for tri-x on the same developer, and it was 1 minute and 15 seconds longer than Kodak suggests, they say 5:30, this app says 7:45, you can check it yourself, at 24°. So, essentially the one thing that this app is meant to do, it doesn't. I'm sad that my images were so over exposed as to be essentially unusable.

Still getting used to the UI. Some navigation is clunky, and I'd like an easier way to set up a process chain from scratch. That said, it worked well enough for the films I processed so far. Update: after using it for a while, I still don't like the UI, but the processes work well. After using it for a while, it's growing on me. I like it now. Compared to other offerings, this is the one to get.
