Pleased with picture quality, NOT PLEASED with the fact that the app is not recognizing its specific ringtone and is instead using the default ringtone. Also, activity notifications appear to be coming in under the "miscellaneous " category and not "push." That is odd. The only time the proper ringtone occurred was when do not disturb was on. Not cool when I'm using it for security purposes and now I need to look at my phone every time I get a notification.

Okay the app is functional, however the app is white and the writing on it is very very small and in light gray font, which makes it extremely difficult to read all of the different functions and screens. Never seen an app this bad when it comes to that. They really need to change it. When they do I will up my rating

Great app, does what it needs to do. Saved videos on SD card are quite slow, but for the price it is a well made device and app. Is there a way to improve battery life, larger battery option? Cloudy days do not charge enough to last the night. A way to add external power that would charge from the solar panel would be great. My only complaint... Update: Dropped to two stars. Cust. Ser. SUCKS! no response to multiple req. Playstore should remove app. Filing formal request for them to do so!

I've had a lot of difficulty with connection, and definitely don't try to connect it during a time when your neighbors might be sleeping! This thing is LOUD. Sometimes, it doesn't pick up person detection when someone is directly in view and having a conversation. I noticed that it didn't pick me up when I knew I'd been in front of the camera but didn't get any notification. So, it'll do if you're on a tight budget and need some kind of security camera.

My cameras worked great at first. They don't pick up anything, doesn't pick up anything coming in gate, pulling up the alarms don't go off anymore. Doesn't record unless I sit and watch my phone. The settings reset on their own every day. Won't let me get alerts on my phone anymore, battery's are not charging with the solar panel.I have all the permissions turned on. I should have just bought fake ones and saved me lots of money. Do not recommend these.

App has always been solid except for now. I am using the hotspot mode to set up a wireless connection between my Samsung Galaxy Fold5 and the rear mounted cam for viewing behind my wheelchair. Was very handy to view who is approaching me from behind my wheelchair. But the hotspot function stop working recently. Not sure if it is related to the latest UI6.1.1 upgrade on Oct-2, very coincidentally. The Ubox app closes immediately everytime I open it. I can no longer access my camera. HELP!!

Just got these cameras up. Was being lazy and they sat in the box about 3 months but wow great cams and nice easy to use app too. Update -2 stars 10/22/24 - why does it make videos that say network wakeup? They're usually empty and I don't see the point in them unless u like to have a bunch of vids with nothing. I'd request that the app only records movement when on activity detection.

So far so good. My only drawback is that this camera is not compatible with Tuya Smart App. I have 2 other cameras with a Tuya Yearly cloud subscription which I just renewed this month and I won't get a refund ($80) if I cancel. So I'm going to have to wait a full year before changing subscriptions only if UBox is compatible with my other 2 Vivitar cameras.
