App constantly freezes and errors out. Developers seem to view it as an afterthought. Update Feb 2025 - New issues (no surprise). The app glitches out and won't even let me sign in. It's also VERY frustrating that I have to sign in every time I use the app. I really wish our church would move away from this platform, but for some reason they seem to want to stick with it.

For months, I've had to log in twice every time: I put in my credentials, the app crashes, I start it again, and this time it lets me log in. Very annoying, but at least it works—for the moment, since I seem to be logged out quite often. With today's update I can't even log in anymore. It looks like the login page is loading/refreshing over and over. The issues seem to be specific to the Android app (at least, I never had problems with the iOS app or with the website on desktop).

The app is buggy, inconsistent, and fails to allow me to customize notifications to my needs...if it sends them at all. I love the concept and the web based functionality, but the app leaves a ton to be desired. On startup it gets stuck in a loop, failing to let me click anything at all. It then says I need to update to a newer version but there is no newer version available. It then logs me off every time, regardless of what my login preferences are. Which then requires a browser.

This app is poorly developed and poorly supported for Android systems. It regularly crashes, requires sign in each time you try to open it, doesn't support authentication with Google (though it says it does), and is unreliable in its pushed notifications. Our church groups that use it duplicate communications through group texts or other means simply because Realm is inadequate. Users often do not get the messages as they should in Realm. Giving this 1 star because 0 is not an option.

I downloaded the app 5 minutes ago and the first thing I saw upon opening it was "Please update Realm Connect. This version of the app is no longer supported. To get back to using Realm, install the latest version." Again, I JUST downloaded it, so it must already BE the latest version.

The Connect App is currently buggy and unstable. Although I'm running the most up-to-date version on a Galaxy s23, the Newsfeed doesn't automatically refresh, notifications are unreliable, and we often hear of users having app crashes across different kinds of devices, constantly having to re-log in. This is an App that we want to love! I hope ACS invests resources to overhaul this tool, as it's the most significant tool for church communication.

Wouldn't work on my Android phone from May 2024 to January 2025. On Android, iPhone, or laptop, it is clunky. The search feature doesn't search the contents of messages. In groups, it only shows 5 messages at a time. Just remember that ACS focuses on financial statements and tracking, and at some point they tried to cobble on an information sharing feature.
