Poor app for reading the tribune on my phone. The app still doesn't have sections for reading the comics, or for doing the puzzles like the Daily Jumble and sodoku. Can't use the search feature to find these sections either; they are only available when reading the tribune online in a browser. The decreasing quality of the tribune doesn't help. Investigative journalism articles are decreasing in quantity and quality. Editorials are often poorly reasoned and written.

This is the worst newspaper app of any I have used. A couple recent news article on the front page, then just a bunch of old photo links. Major holes in coverage. Searching for things you know are there somewhere is difficult. Truly, just awful. And why? Every other news so works just fine?

Totally unreliable on Android 14. Freezes regularly. Ads overtake content mid article so it's not obvious where the ads start and end. "Read More" button to open the full article fails more often than it works.

Good paper with good local coverage. App is fine. Dealing with Chicago Tribune "customer service" is appalling unless you desire stealth charges and price increases, a long and unhelpful automated phone tree with no off ramp to a human, and - ultimately - customer service people who barely speak English. And you will TRY to deal with them often as they sneak in additional costs. I have to take off two stars for the frustration.

This app is atrocious on Android. I can't count the number of times it opens to just a blank white screen or having it freeze if I click on the annoying "Continue reading" prompt. It often doesn't know if I'm logged in or not. Killing the app or refreshing doesn't work. I literally cannot read an entire article without an issue. I guess I know why the subscription I purchased was deeply discounted. They don't pay the app developers I guess.

App is has been improved over the last year, but my biggest issue still remains. I'm unable to share articles using the share button. When you click on the button, it no longer gives you the option of email, text, or chat sharing. I have a Samsung S21 and the only options I have under sharing are Bluetooth, calendar & nearby share. You can't send articles through typical sharing means...no email, social media or text apps. Please help with this.

Still a problem after new update-5/5/2020, 1/4/2020 The app won't save any articles, though the bookmarking tool says it's saving them. It is very frustrating. Kind of makes the app useless, as there is no reading history. When trying to write customer support, my emails are rejected. I am a paid subscriber of the paper. I might as well just sign in through the browser.

Redesigned app is worse than the prior version. Headline fonts too large and do not always fit on a single screen requiring a scroll down just to read the headlines. Rotating your screen shows even less information, sometimes ypu see no headline at all. I would give it no stars if I could. Very disappointing. Can't use it anymore. Cancelling my subscription.
