Can't connect to the server at all when I'm on a VPN. So the only way I could reliably just open it and have it work is if I was willing to compromise my security for this one app. I'm not. Every other app I have works fine, it's just this one. Oh, but when I do drop the VPN long enough to use it, it's slow, unreliable, and frequently directs me to occupied or out of service chargers. At least when I use the NFC the charge will start but that's about all it's got going for it.

Honestly I can't believe that this app is in 2024. It badly needs improvements. During peak hours the app barely functions. what even more annoying is when you are selected on the wait-list, you can't see where the spot is until you accept. and after you accept, the app keeps resizing the map automatically and won't let you understand where you are. every 2 seconds it zooms you back in.

Just setting up this app while waiting for my charger install, and there are loads of display issues—the app is in dark mode, but pop-up menus for selecting my vehicle are in light mode, and the text does not display (or of it does, it's white-on-white, so it's invisible). I had to select my EV by trial and error. Map buttons are also missing. I'd love to use this app but I worry about having to make any selections in it.

Disappointing at best...fails at the most basic and crucial aspects...shows stations as available, waste time driving there, to find out they are occupied...and have been occupied for hours (not the case of someone taking your spot). Stations frequently don't work...but listed as available...even after being reported not working several times days ago. Stations frequently show on map as available, but are on private property and not available to the public (why list not accessible stations???)

ChargePoint app is a lifesaver for Tesla drivers! The interface is easy to navigate, making it simple to find free charging stations nearby. I appreciate the real-time updates on station availability and the map’s accuracy, it’s saved me more than once from getting stranded. Some areas still need more free spots, but the app does a solid job showing where they are. It’s reliable, user-friendly, and makes EV driving that much easier. A must-have if you’re looking to save on charging fees.

September 2024 update ruined my home charging. App will no longer connect to my Chargepoint Flex. Has worked flawlessly for almost 2 years. NO, it's not a WiFi problem. Saw White Light on Flex couple days ago, probably about update time. Went away by itself (back to normal Green). Changes to Blue when plugged in but despite restarts and resets app still won't connect to Flex. Unable to adjust schedules, etc.

Now it's near unusable. Slow and laggy, the map is clunky and often defaults to zooming out to a 3000 mile radius, the pin icons show stations as available when they're not, the weird floating join wait list button doesn't work at all and doesn't even let you know what chargers it's waiting for, and disappears when someone is plugged into your home charger miles away. There's no reserving a station anymore, but people with the older app version can still do it. It's so sad seeing this app fail.

The app needs to be updated for 2023 cars. App currently allows for selecting either a 2021 or 2022 Ford Mach E. Had it for 11 months and it's becoming glitchy. It's losing it's Wi-Fi connection often. Also, the status LED light is white without any clear reason. Keep resetting Wi-Fi but that's not resolving the issue. I use as a home charger only.
