The app constantly crashes when trying to start a race. I'd like to support my selected charity, but can't with this app. Unfortunately, the app does not appear to work properly on Android 12 and higher based on the information in the crash report I generated. (Edit: the developer's response that I can just use a different app and upload is a bad joke. This means that they don't bother testing on newer versions at all. Avoid this app if possible!) (Second edit: they're spammers!)

I am changing from 1 to 2 stars to acknowledge the update from viRACE team. #### Original Review ##### I installed viRACE to take part in Virtual Great North Run. The search didn't work in the sense that it was showing me the race but now allowing me to select the same. On race day, the app downloaded modules and then kept showing Loading... and repeating the message that GPS signal is not there. This is the place where I use other GPS Apps regularly with no issues. Finally, I had to switch on Runkeeper and get on with running. It was very frustrating to be lined up to run Half Marathon and not being able to live experience due to App issues. I am on Android 9.

Ran the great North run this morning, the app struggled to maintain GPS, kept interrupting my music, and ended up one kilometer out of sync with the actual distance I had covered. I ended up running an extra kilometer but the app never said that I had finished, it probably still thinks I'm still running. Would not recommend and will not be using again.

Really poor. Crashed before the start, crashed before the end, switched off my other audio stream, gobbled the battery. I'm apparently now 40k into a half marathon, and still haven't finished. An app like this is supposed to enhance the experience, not be the worst part of the run. If it can't do the basics of tracking the run, all voice clips, and other fripperies are wasted.

Has potential but not there yet. Used for Virtual Great North Run and it started great with the warm-up, commentary, crowd noises and even red arrows buzzing past! But after about 3 or 4km... Nothing. Didn't record time or GPS accurately (I get GPS sometimes but not for 15 odd km and no excuse for time! Was around 10mins out from my garmin) and had no further commentary or noises throughout. Such a shame as could have been a fantastic experience! Obviously a lot of bugs to fix!

I use the app in a Samsung A40 for Migros Run's. Without apparent reason I can't start the activity: 1- sometimes the "start warm-up" button doesn't appear, 2- when I get through this step, I lose the GPS signal (I can still start the race, but I'm not moving). I give all kind of permissions to the app, and tried to restart the app many times, and even the mobile, I tried too. I could use it in the past but last week it wasn't possible at all

viRACE app worked OK in that the distance agreed with Runkeeper which I had running on my phone simultaneously which giving me distance and pace alerts. What was really annoying was as soon as viRACE made any announcement it stopped my music (Spotify) or podcast (Pocketcasts). The only way I could restart was to physically press the play button on the phone screen as the button on my headphones also didn't work. I don't have these issues using Runkeeper on its own.

Used this for the first time today to do the Virtual Great North Run. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to test it prior to racing which led me to discover a couple of issues during the event. The main issue was that it kept telling me that it had a poor GPS connection. I was using a running armband and the phone reported a full lock. I had to run an additional 300m over my Garmin's reported distance. It also doesn't play nicely with YouTube Music so I couldn't listen to that.
