The easiest 5★ review I've ever given. Intuitive, fast, cross-platform, free & open source, and simply *better* than any other file transfer app I've tried. The master stroke is the fun default nicknames for each device — which make for instan onboarding, but are easily edited. Can have set-up issues on Windows and ChromeOS, but those are more system issues, not issues with the app.

I was so frustrated with the state of wireless file transfer apps, that I went to extents as to build my own. But, I'm glad to have found this gem.

It is by far the best cross-platform app. I've tried many other apps, but they didn't work most of the time and even if they did, they had lots of bugs and errors. But this one is super seamless. There are sometimes issues when transferring from windows to ios tho. Not a big deal anyway becuase android is my main platform.

updated: it's a good start. It supports the option to auto-accept files from those devices you saved/favorites, however it's missing a keep alive notification on android or option to autostart on android or notification Shade tiles to show that the app is running in the background. Without this the app will only be seen when it's open and won't run in the background.

I was hoping this app would be a replacement for FEEM, my file transfer app of choice for over 10 years but recently more and more full of ads. But while LocalSend works OK on Android and IOS, the Windows version of the app is completely useless and it crashes immediately after starting any transfer.. tried it on several desktops and laptops, no deal. So this app is pointless to me as what I need is doing transfers between phone and Windows computers. Back to FEEM that always works flawlessly.

To start with worked perfectly, but it's developed a fault. When trying to sent a file from Android it says file can't be opened because it doesn't have permission - which it does! I've discovered that placing the file in a folder and doing a folder send works fine (proving the permissions message is rubbish). Fix this glitch to get my 5th star. BTW, I've uninstalled, reset permissions and stuff like that, still get the message ☹️

Exceptional file transfer when both networks are connected by a hotspot linked to another device WiFi and vice versa. Anyone encounters issues, save the found network to "favourite" after that your file transfer from any saved device is seamless. You can transfer an entire Folder too. My speed was about 14mb/s to 40mb/s in big folders depending on the file type. Best transfer speed ever! 🫶😳 Perfection! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Deserving all Ten. You outdid the rest developer 🥇
