Okay for mainly (but not always) local news. Main issue is that there are many occasions where there is initial coverage of a story, but then no further updates. Also often sensationalises relatively trivial stories. Recently there have been a lot of stories from other regions, this wouldn't be too bad but then the app chooses to send notifications about these non-local stories. There are also far too many spelling and grammar errors.

Was seeing too many personalised ads, when I looked at the data preferences settings > vendor preferences, I was absolutely gobsmacked to see 100s of third-party companies listed who could have access to my data and for each I have to individually turn off consent even for legitimate interest, gave up after the 10th company and thought it's easier to just uninstall the app.

I was moored in Coventry's Canal Basin for a few days so I installed this app. The first thing I saw was new stories about murders in the city. Not the kind of thing a tourist wants or needs to see so I uninstalled it in disgust. We don't need to see news in this kind of app. We can get that in many other places.

Crashing. Worked ok before update App runs better now but the news is appalling. Rarely Coventry news. Far too many mega chippy articles. Don't really care about which Greggs is best. No passion in the writing, very lacklustre. E- must try harder Thanks for the information about the update but it won't change the quality or context of the articles.

Doesn't work all the time. I have to keep uninstalling and the installing again. Despite being told problems was being looked in to. I'm still having problems months later. Poor service... A year on and I'm still having same problem . Update ..... Two years from first review still having problems with this app .

Having used for years did the latest update and rubbish it now keeps crashong. Have applied all phone's updates as well to latest version as other people have done and now it constantly keeps crashing and won't open. Poorly thought out Have now uninstalled it and won't use until it is fixed or reverted back to previous version

Unfortunately it's a very poor service. Many times there's spelling or grammatical errors. then there's the clickbait headlines. You'll see a headline such as "6ft of snow on the way" then you read the article and at the end it'll say, "only in the Scottish highlands" and Coventrys' weather will actually be, "6°C and sunny." It is actually the best option out there for local news and sport, however it gives the impression it's all written by a work experience employee sat at a desk miles away.

It is not always local news and often has stories that are recycled and rehashed by its journalists to tempt you into believing it is a new story. Too many adverts also. The CET used to be an excellent newspaper. Now it is hardly worth reading.
