Absolutely stunning that I can use voice typing together with my default keyboard which is The app is clean, full, functional and works perfectly. I really, really don't understand why there is no option to use the API. This smaller models are just not the same. I'd pay you guys quite a lot for that option ;)

I use this voice detection with an any soft keyboard. It works very well. In German language it has some difficulties to make perfect sentences, but it works very well and I am very happy and grateful. To be honest, the second pop-up of the text after the program has detected it looks a bit clunky and not pretty, but yeah. This is like one thing I would be happy if you would polish it, but that's minor. This review was written with the voice to text app. Thank you Futo and thank you devs.

Promising but needs an overhaul in terms of how it's triggered and inputs text. Currently it listens and presents the result inside a UI box. It's hard to interact with that fluidly. Plus it's very slow and additionally takes a long time selecting the language model for multi-language users. Also it's not available on f-droid, despite it's open source nature.

It's ok as an accessibility tool but needs improvements, struggles with Irish accent, many times have to edit wrong transcribed words (and even sneezes lol) and talk slowly and articulate carefully. Would love an option for it to be used as a voice assistant that respects privacy to be able to navigate TalkBack with voice without fearing Google is listening in to everything... Having to give up privacy because of disability isn't fun.

The only thing I don't like about it is that at the end it'll say things like, "thanks for watching," or "See you in the next video." I don't say that at the end. Usually I'm just texting to somebody. I don't feel like typing it all out.

The voice input is very frustrating. It would be nice to be able to see what was being said/typed as it's being said, instead of saying an entire paragraph and it just printing it out and being completely wrong, making corrections more difficult. Making corrections is also frustrating, as you can't just tap on a word and say the right word to correct it, you need to completely delete it and then edit afterwards by typing.

Finally, a privacy-respecting speech-to-text (voice input) engine that just works. All processing is done on your device only, so that your private data stays, well, private. For native speakers the recognition rate gets impressively high, even when using the small recognition model. (You can choose from 3 - S,M,L.) When switching to the medium model, the transcript gets close to impeccable, as long as you are not speaking with a heavy accent. Highly recommended!

Wow, even dictating in Dutch with a few scattered English words, nigh flawless! Fastest time ever between trying it out, and paying the (non-enforced, somewhat hidden even.) payment "requirement"! And all is processed on-device, instead of going through the G-servers with all the privacy issues that that approach entails. Sure, this makes it a bit slower, but surprisingly only a little, and well worth the trade-off!
