App no longer loads my course videos, just a constant loading screen. Before I used the app to listen while on long drives now I cannot. This has happened before but it fixed itself. This time I had to completely remove the application, reinstall, and log in to get it to work.

I love SANS but this app is not up to SANS quality. I'm not certain I've ever been able to even use the app. I usually resort to going to the site directly. It won't even load for me currently. Can't keep in full screen mode either.

Edit: The app no longer functions properly. 1 star. This app barely works and needs love. The download function only works sometimes. I have been asked to log in during a flight while I didn't have internet, having verifed 10min before takeoff that I was logged in. The playback speed resets when its not in focus, and no picture-in-picture support. Skipping any time rebuffers the video, even downloaded. Get a tablet/large phone and load the site player instead.

This app is awesome, I was hoping to be able to catch up with my on demand sans course while on the go and this fits the bill perfectly. I was able to sign in on first try, and two taps is all it took to be into my training and watching the content. I usually don't review apps but felt I needed to take the time to say thank you for offering this sans group this app is a great help!

The app lacks of essential features. The watching progress is not synchronized with the OnDemand player on the SANS. The full screen in landscape mode is cropped on mobile, making the text on the slides hard to read. Another feature that would be nice to have is the ability to cast the app on TV.

Edit: the app seems to have been updated after my bad experience (below). Downloads work now! I do still get kicked back to the login screen when I start the app. I agree that this app is not a good reflection on the otherwise superb SANS Institute. Awful streaming speeds with buffering every couple of seconds, and download option never runs to completion (never really gets started, as far as I can tell). Too bad, would be great to have my videos on the go for flights and things.

No option to lock the screen in full screen on mobile. The screen will spin wildly off the smallest amount of movement from your phone. The only way to watch videos on your phone in full screen is to prop it up and have it completely still. Even then sometimes it flips out of full-screen. Solution: implement a lock in full screen feature. This is such an easy solution for such a bad user experience.

The app does it's job to let me easily watch my On-Demand videos on my phone, but I have it 2 stars because there's no difference in watching web-based since it requires me to log in EVERY time I leave the app. Having to always log in defeats the purpose of having the app and download your material to watch when your internet connection may be questionable.
