I have a serious love/hate relationship with this app. I like the programming from morning to night, but this app makes me say bad words. A lot! Every single time there’s the slightest interruption to the stream the show cuts out and it’s ad central! Listen to app in car, disconnect from Bluetooth, the show is interrupted by repetitive ads. Lose cell data signal for a second, ad central! Smack in the middle of an interview it does this. I keep hoping for an update. Fix it!!! Seems worse on droid

This app is complete garbage. It stops working out of nowhere and CONSTANTLY has "play source error" messages. Hands down, 100%, the absolute worst app I've ever seen in my life. It constantly cuts out and stop playing. When it starts working again, you have to listen to the same embedded commercials over and over again. if somebody is reading these reviews, can you please fix this horrible app!

Your app stops playing in the background and there is no settings option to change this. I started listening to you stream via Audials play, but they insert commercials in the wrong spots over your stream causing me to miss information. Could you please fix/upgrade your app so that it does not stop and will play in the background with the screen locked. I already checked my android phone settings and I can't fix it their either. Great news station and personalities though, keep up the great work

Seriously!! Is there really someone working on this app????? it doesnt work on my so-called Smart TV, barely works on Winblows 10 (the dropouts are horrible!!!) and is at best frustrating on Android 10! Oh, wait a minute. I got a couple of PCs running WinDoze XP. Ya i'm a bit old.... But gotta try it there, Let ya know. How the he11 can your advertisers be happy with this kind of performance much less be able to actually listen?? Actually i really do LOVE the conent of WMAL. Just fix the app so I can give you a 5 star rating please!!!

I understand ads. But, I don't understand the automatic refresh that happens, usually during breaking news? You then manually refresh to get back to the breaking news, only to listen to ads again and not one or two.. like 5 or 6 repetitive ads. I'll still listen from PA using this app because your lineup from 9am to 9pm is amazing, but the app, it's awful.

Embarassing. This app does not exit even after requesting it to. You have to hard kill the app. As a result it seemingly randomly turns on and whatever is on the air starts shouting.(Imagine being in an elevator, checking your notifications and having WMAL start up broadcasting an ad for divorce lawyers.) Don't install this app. Use iheart radio or something else.

Recent update makes app unusable. Love the station but can't listen live anymore. I just spent 50+ minutes cycling through a loop of ads and PSAs. unable to listen to the radio shows. After a recent update, the app began adding many promos and PSAs throughout the broadcast at random points, now I can't hear the actual programs. Often, the same drunk driving promo will cycle 5 or 6 times in a row back-to-back. A real disappointment

TOO many ads, and invoked at EVERY interruption causing streaming to stop, be it changing BT speakers, going from cell service to WiFi, and seems like every hour. One has to reply or close the ad before streaming resumes. This condition got really bad after 1st of 2024. Looking for another way or change who i listen to. Too bad!
