The unit needs a WiFi network (I could use my phone hotspot) for the initial setup and then might work on just Bluetooth. It might work after that, might not. I wouldn't count on using this app to save you having to press buttons... The app disconnects and/or doesn't connect often enough that you'll reach for the buttons before you reach for the phone. The app does have the extra settings for timeout of the units and charge rate, etc.

I could not get the app to work, so they had one of their Tech employees call me. It was in the middle of the night for him, but he walked me through what I was missing, and the app connected on both my iPad and my Samsung phone. The app has so many great features for the DBS3500, which is a beautifully engineered generator. SO SHOP WITH CONFIDENCE!

Bought a dabbsson db 2100 pro model. Installed the app, single signed on with Google, connected to the battery. App works good. Even updated the firmware of the battery.

Usually, it will not work. App opens but remains "dark" so no real-time data, just the last real data you saw. When it works It is pretty accurate and extremely convenient, so 2 stars instead of the one it deserves for not functioning.

The pairing to the battery pack was seemless and quick. The app is very good looking with intuitive UI and controls unit without delay. Good job. Taking 1 star off as some functionality found on other battery packs is missing, such as reading of Volt and Amps in addition to power for inputs and outputs. Overall well done app!

Nice UI update and really like the device. The only thing I'm really missing is an API so that I can automate my home processew. If it wasnt for that missing feature I would give 5 stars.
