Updating 6/22/24 to say that the app worked fine again for another 7 months, now is crashing upon trying to open any messages or calls. Update on 6/28/2024 After one week of being down it's back up and running with no issues. It's great when it works but super frustrating when it doesn't. This is a great app when it works. Hope they keep it right this time.

Update: 10/24/18: Ported my number out yesterday & signed up w/ another company, all is well. It rings the way it's supposed to. Update: 10/21/18: this app continues to get worse and worse everyday, I still use it hoping that it gets better, but their support have told me that it is my carrier the reason I don't get caller ID, however, I have downloaded other apps to try that theory out and they work fine, I only still use it because I paid for the year in advance since it worked so good initially. I'll never make that mistake again. My rating has gone from 5 to 3 to 2 to 1, if I could legitimately give this a zero I would. Update: Severely disappointing. This app worked great until today, Customer Service had previously resolved my issue, but I have to say this last time around was seriously lacking. After working since February, the issue returned where it wouldn't show up on the caller ID, I spent roughly half-hour with GoDaddy tech support on the phone, didn't resolve the issue. They told me to call my service provider as it seems like on the backend everything is good. I figured why not it wouldn't hurt spent 3hrs on phone trying to troubleshoot my phone and with the end-result is that it's not a service provider issue. GoDaddy support said that it was most likely due to the fact that I recently updated to Android 9, but I updated at beginning of August, the App just stopped working. Basically when I get a call it only says "Business Call" no caller ID, so I don't know who is calling me legitimately or who is a spam call, which I get a lot of. Really unfortunate, I have to cancel this now and seek a different service. I really did like it when it worked.

This app has been great!!! It has become exactly what I needed, (2 phone#'s-1device) and it works better than par. It has only stopped once. However, I wrongly presumed, that I would be creating a new contacts list within the app for my business customer's and contacts. Instead, my personal contact list was imported to the app. This was a major drawback, and a disappointment. .....I'm sure I'll find the right app for the job tho.

UPDATE: It got to the point where we couldn't sent text images and regular texts would sometimes send, sometimes not. Our location and use did not change, this was simply an app failure - can't have that for business communication. We had no choice but to switch the number away from smartline. (And yes, we called in, went through the steps. "Known issue" even though it wasn't reported on GoDaddy status page.) PREVIOUS REVIEW We use heavily for business. It's mostly functional, but its buggy.

This app has become almost unusable. Every other time I try to open it, the app freezes and gives the "app is not responding" message. On top of that, whenever I can get it to open, sometimes it takes several hours to load a text message. I can see from the home screen that there is a new message, but when I open the actual conversation, it does not show up. Similarly, oftentimes I try to send a text, and it fails to send. I will be looking for a different app to use for a second phone line.

Can't make outbound calls. Nor can I send texts. I was instructed to log out, which I did. Now I can't get into the app at all. I have tried to have this issue resolved by holding on, then speaking with someone, to holding some more for well over an hour. Issue isn't resolved. So now I must call them again in the morning, may be less of a hold time. About to find someone else for my business contact. Update: I had my vpn on and from what I was told from the 2nd technician, you can't have a VPN.

This app was functional for a year, and now the past month it has trouble sending texts over wifi or cell with full signal. 2 days now, it sends dumps of texts to me from clients 10hrs later and duplicates from days ago! Troubleshooting tips are useless. This app is dead to me. Also, NO GROUP TEXT ability, no caller ID on ring screen. Definitely not worth the 10$/mo premium.

I really found this application useful and easily managed in past versions but it seems to have slowly strayed away from it's original design and user friendly core that I found so enjoyable to use as well as well rounded and excellently priced features that now seem to barely exist .... I wish I had more to say but unfortunately I'm very disappointed in the changes made in the past 2 years or so ... I understand money must be made and things must grow and change ...but they're not better
