Almost flawless experience, I mean truly phenomenal stuff. It's both a creative and very impressive showcase of text based game design, like an expanded vision of seedship, although if there were anything I could say is negative about the experience it would be that sometimes events can get a bit repetitive after awhile, along with the randomly picked names for civilizations having the same problem. other than those two quite small issues this is a solid experience. 9.5/10 good stuff.

Definitely in the same category as Seedship but it adds more complexity, more dimensions to the decisions you make. I liked Seedship enough that I was happy to pay $10, regardless of how much I ended up liking Chiron Gate, but it turned out it's a great game and too. I just finished a game and really enjoyed it. Some reviewers say the game is too hard, but you just need to be conservative, once you start to figure out what's dangerous, take fewer risks to avoid injuring your crew.

The game is a strong evolution from Seedship, with a compelling story and plenty to explore. The unique way of uncovering the backstory adds depth and while it's relatively short (I finished it on my second try) the high replayability makes up for it. Each playthrough feels fresh, offering new outcomes and discoveries, though a bit more content would been welcomed.

Absolutely love this game, it's an old school text adventure/strategy game that's so rich with detail and offers so much variety and choice with the decision making, the pleasure of leading a successful mission to restore the gate is so satisfying, especially when you get to meet advanced civilizations early on and acquire the upgrades necessary to survive the more dangerous systems. Mr Ayliff, you're a genius!

I really like this game, it's text-based which is a little difficult for me (having ADHD), but I'm a big fan of hard sci-fi, and this game is based on the themes of the category so that's enough to keep me engaged. I don't know if there's things that can be unlocked for future runs, but the game itself doesn't have *that* many paths, but what is there is interesting and rewarding. It's a little too easy for random events to kill a character, but apart from that I'm happy with my purchase!

A fun little text-based adventure. Overall a very impressive, fun experience, with just a few flaws: More variety in encounters could go a long way. You'll see most of the different encounters within a few hours. The RNG could use some weighting as the game goes on - it sucks to have almost all your scanners upgraded but be greeted by a selection of barren systems late-game. Why would a heavily injured explorer still go out as part of a shore party? Overall, it's good. Try it out.

I love this game. It's a lot like it's predecessor Seedship but more complex. You can see the developer build further on this great concept. The game is complex and requires multiple runs to get a handle on it's Mechanics and find a optimal path of upgrades. It's also very heavy on the RNG. Be prepared to do everything right and still lose rolls or be unlucky in your encounters with civilizations. But I don't mind. After all this is kind of describes life in general. Great game. Recommend.

I loved Seedship, with its excellent writing and varied tactics. While this game also has wonderful sci-fi writing, it soon becomes extremely repetitive, clicking through the same paragraphs over and over. The roguelite pacing is counterintuitive, that to get the most points one has to follow a very boring, predictable. Unlike Seedship, it feels like I must grind my way through, that there is only one way to win, and that getting a high score isn't a fun way to play. Terribly overpriced too.
