At first, it never worked well - very unstable connection to Access Point. AP never seems to recover once connection was interrupted. My other smarthome solutions all work well. I got a new access point and then it worked kind of ok, but then out of the blue, the shutter levels were not correct any more. You would set 50% in the app and the shutter goes to 10%. Edit: In the last months it worked ok. But it is still not a good system yet. Addition: Tried to change Wlan Router - a Nightmare!

I've never had such a bad time setting up a system. But once it's set up, it's okayish. I don't like that it always overshots the temperature by up to 1°C, that's too much and not "smart". Had to adjust my schedules to accommodate this and reduce temperature by 0,5 around the time it reaches the desired temp. Lack of geofencing is a major disappointment. Wouldn't buy again just because of this.

meh. Not sure if the problems are app- or equipment-related, but sometimes there are inexplicable, long-term communication breaks between the thermostats and the app. Also, the temperature-setting sometimes just goes rogue. Customer service? They want nothing to do with the end user once the things are paid for. BTW, the manual DOES NOT address most issues. FAQs are sorely lacking. I won't throw it away because it just cost too much, but I won't be investing in Homematic anytime soon.

Very easy to operate app, with big potential for further development. I would suggest that in the automation the developer can add active notifications - for example if you forget the windows open for more then predefined time. Also it will be good to see the status of the thermostat - if it is open (%) or closed, what is the measured temperature. Another featurr I really miss is the option to increase the temperature for specific time and after it returns to normal profile.

My heat pump intaller wanted to apply on/off actuators, which sounded dumb to me, so I was happy to stumble upon the proportional system of Homematic IP. The app should be more user friendly though: - possibility to change the order of the rooms on the main page (now it's alphabetical) - when manually adjusting the temperature on the dial, the room should be put on manual mode iso keeping it on Standard profile (which is misleading) - the BOOST button is not working If fixed, 5 starts. 😉

Amazing product. However, I give only 4 stars as there were some features requested by someone else in 2018, and they are still missing. Please implement the status of the thermostat in percent, how much is opened, please consider holiday mode during cooling period also (change-over system).

Updated from 3.0.15 to 3.1.4 and, as advised by Support, the VPN feature in the DuckDuckGo browser, no longer causes cloud connectivity to fail. Thanks Support for the fix.

Amazing Product! Started with temperature control when building house and now have controls for shutters, pluggable switches, smoke detectors, motion detector, alarm, outside temperature and sun light (LUX) sensors. Everything can get automated depending on weather outside or inside the house based on specific triggers, conditions and actions. Updates are done very often bringing new awesome features. Had it for a year with no problems at all. Would certainly recommend Homematic IP!
