it was implied in the documentation that I could use another charger, but the app only supported 1 and it isn't mine.

Edit: the developer responded and will be making updates to the release schedule. Thank you for listening! -- Email signup kept erroring without even sending me an email, ended up using phone number instead. Now the app won't even load since it says there's a minor update available on the "App Store" (I'm up to date on Google Play). Can't charge my EV if the app forces a version which doesn't exist!

It is the only app for Grizzl-E smart charger. It took me multiple tries and internet searches to figure out how to connect my Grizzl-E charger to the app. After install, I've learned the app doesn't tell me real-time charging status or amps of current. It doesn't alert me if it stops charging unexpectedly. I didn't need it for scheduling, so the only useful feature was charging history. I'm returning my Grizzl-E smart charger for a less expensive but more informative non – wi-fi charger.

Could never get the app to work because the unit would never connect to the internet. Firmware is out of date as a result and can't be upgraded OTA. Customer and tech support fumbled with attempts to solve the problem, but they didn't seem to understand that I wasn't up to their level. Finally they said it had a conflict with the DNS settings of my network (?). Well, I have no idea how to resolve that. Looks like I bought a feature that I can't use. Ain't technology grand?

I have switched my Grizzl E Smart charger to running in dumb mode. Seemed like a good idea at the time of purchase -- the app has worked on and off since purchase (one year and a bit). The app does not add much value to a single home lev 2 install -- I get all that I need from the KIA Connect app. Plus it's a pain to have to take the cover off the Grizzl E and reset a dip switch to enable wifi -- surely this could be achieved in software (like most IOT devices). Grizzl E A1 in dumb mode

It simply won't connect. Just keeps failing during the last step of setup. Like others have said either the app or the smart part of the smart charger itself is useless junk. We wanted to track our amp draw during charge but after hours wasted with this app I'm giving up and going back to dumb mode. Save your time don't bother downloading.

Installed to use with my Grizzl-E Smart charger. It gives very little information when actually charging, and that's if you can get it to actually work with your charger. I've had to reset my charger's WiFi three times since getting it because the app stops talking to the charger and there's no other way to resolve the issue. It's ridiculous. Poorly designed app

The review is about ChargeLab as applied to Grizzl-E chargers. The charger unit is excellent - the app is not made specifically for it, it seems like a collaboration allowing Grizzl-E to claim it has a smart charger version. As such, it works. You connect the phone once to Grizzl-E's hotspot and configure login to your Wi-Fi - a bit unusual, but it works. As promised, it will let you view charge status and track history - though not in the simplest way. I haven't used Explore or Schedules.
