This app has really came through in hard times, we all could use a resourceful app that helps with finding extra work or full time gigs. Lately I've had issues with getting a response about my background check etc according to reviews everyone is having these issues and hopefully it will be fixed soon. Also having more options with employment would be good and a open line or communication with someone in app would be amazing!

I signed up just over a week ago! There is work, I was very hesitant to sign up on another app to be put on another wait list, just find out.After all that registration that they're oversaturated like most gig apps out here right now! However, to my surprise. .... I underestimated the app...... There's plenty of work on here. I've been offered 6 different shifts. I was not able to catch any because I was too slow! Within seconds... there gone!!

The first problem is this app is unbearably slow. I can excuse that because it may just be my phone. What I cannot excuse is the work or lack of any to be found.. I live in Chicago it's a big city. You think there would be work here, but no. Instawork expects me to travel over state lines into Wisconsin. Only things that pop up ate 2 hours out. Absolutely worthless app after all the hoops I had to jump through to get set up.

So I been using this app off and on since 2022. Just recently I a new feature has been added to the prerequisites called "Success Guide". Upon reading it you have to acknowledge by signing it. After that the system is stuck on that guide and never allows me to accept jobs. It's really hindering progression and need assistance on getting pass that part.

Update: Got verified but there are no jobs being shown to me. I know there are jobs in my field. One of my former coworkers showed me. Still cant recommend this app. There is absolutely zero support from what I can see or find. ----------‐---‐-----------------------------------------------------Can't get verified so as a result i can't apply for jobs. I'd stay clear of the app and look for alternatives.

I get notifications for jobs that have been booked already, so I don't seem to get the point if I can't accept. They also have the nerve to ask me to suggest the app to partners. Instawork doesn't help you with background checks. They post jobs that are way too far and low pay, and then when there's a job that's close, it's been booked, so wy send me a notification for it. There is no customer service I've yet to get a call from someone.

Looks good until you see that it's horribly unrefined. You can't search jobs by criteria, they just throw lists of jobs that vaguely match the broad information they collect about you. No distance slider, you can't just simply fill out your references, if you don't find references from the company on the app itself (weird), and your whole list of experience is flagged as unverified if thats the case (weird) My local staffing agency must get ALL the jobs in my city. I'm not driving 5hrs a day🤷

Customer support has recently improved. I appreciate the effort however other issues are still there. The algorithms and AI still approve the most unqualified people who get around the app & system and have formed cliques and band together sharing lucrative shifts with each other. Used to be very good but it's not the same.
