This company and its "smart" locks suck. My apartment complex forced them on us and the passcode system just straight up doesn't work, so if you close the door without your phone or if your phone is dead, enjoy sleeping outside for the night because there's no way back in til maintenance can show up! An issue that nobody with a set of metal keys has ever had, yet... Latch tried to reinvent the wheel and ended up with an unrollable square.

Has recently started trying to do a full lock refresh every time we attempt to use it. We live in an apartment complex that is a big concrete and metal box. There is poor to no cell signal. Even more true in parking garage. We wi also be engaging our apartment complex in friendly but robust feedback. CANNOT RECOMMEND. Will be marking down review of our apartment as well until remediated.

My apartment complex forced this app on us and I'm frustrated with it. the UX isn't good—manually rearranging the dozens of doors from the list is tedious (why no simple "pin to top" option?), the app works poorly under poor internet connectivity (the door to my parking garage has poor signal. I should be able to open the app on airplane mode and still load the door list), and proximity unlock doesn't work for me.

Extremely inconvenient. Names of locks are shortened in a way that makes them unreadable. App constantly tries to connect to servers, waits, shows messages about network not being available, insists on pressing "Ok" to continue. There is absolutely no reason for not just showing user interface and updating state in background whenever possible. App insists that firmware update is available for a lock, then when user tries to apply, there is a message that firmware is already the latest version.

Constantly having issues, my Galaxy Ultra 24S struggles to connect to the latch locks, often taking 30+ seconds to work (by which time I can't select my floor in the elevator so it starts going to another floor!). Also, the app interface with a long list of all the locks in our apartment building makes it hard to find a lock; there should be a way to save favorites or group them! I HATE latch and will never again live in a building that has it.

Slow and clunky interface. Unlocking your door becomes just as much of a chore as a normal key, so what's the point of going through all the trouble to set this up? More of a novelty. after being forced to use this system in my building for the past 3 years I can say definitely that this app is trash. if you don't have an iPhone don't buy latch

my building switched to latch months ago, and honestly, I hate it. the app randomly removed my spouses access to all of the buildings doors, leaving him stuck outside the physical unit on our door is under a year old and is already at 38% battery & I have no idea if I'll be able to get in my unit if it dies. the app lags terribly, sometimes taking minutes to access each door, and there's a lag when the lock reengaes after the door closes, which, as a woman, makes me feel incredibly unsafe.

You pestered me for a review so here it is. First adding someone to the door and not being able to ammend their access without removing their access and adding again is frustrating. Even more so when that leads to a non descript error that doesn't let you fix it for the duration of the original access period. Opening a garage with this app is slow as hell and the inability to grant permissions to this app to open a door from an unlocked phone without the app opened is terrible. Do better.
