This app never connects to the drone unless you try to figure out why it does not connect sitting in your house doing nothing. When you go to try and use it it just frustrates the .... out of you

I'm not sure where others are having issues connecting. I have ZTE U2020 Pro phone and I have not had one issue losing video or connection. Android 11. Personally I like the app. It's simple and easy to use especially compared to the DJI fly app. I did have one event losing the drone that I'm working with Holystone to determine if tapfly had control. I used tapfly and on my next flight, the drone took off. Completely ignored the controller which is concerning. My suspicion is the tapfly downloads to the drone from the app and then it keeps executing till complete with no way to cancel. That's concerning so I will probably hold on that feature. I urge caution trying that function.

Decent, really light drone. Still needs to be reggied tho. The maximum distance is greatly over exaggerated. Anything metal in your immediate LZ will cause static connection from the transmitter. Max distance says 1377ft from the transmitter, I get about 560ft before the return home safety feature kicks on. Great safety features for rookies and the auto landing is incredibly gentle. Connecting to the camera is a hassle sometimes. Weak wind resistance, up to 5mph.

THIS APP IS DANGEROUS!!! Tried to slice my face off! I noticed this app was updated and I did all the calibrations and the pairing like the app asked to do when I first opened it. Checked all the settings and hit the auto take off, 4 feet up and straight back into my face! It was set to slow mode and it sure wasn't acting that way. Not sure why the screen is displaying multiple languages either. I have quite a few hours with this drone and never behaved this way. THIS APP IS DANGEROUS!!!

Something's up. Randomly, at startup or in mid flight, the app changes settings to beginner mode and the drone cant go anywhere except 15 meters or so (i thinkbthats the setting) after beginners mode activates. What the heck? What if I had the drone in a precarious situation, like over traffic, a ravine, or a body of water when it fails like that? I better hope it has less than 15 meters behind it so i can recover the drone! Not cool.

I understand the difficulties in getting this to work with the various phone types. I have a Samsung S20 5G UW running (Android version 10, UI version 2.5,kernel version 4.19.81) every function works except for the camera live feed. Update: I fold an older version of the phone that allows me to get full functionality. Only downside is I have to restart the phone before calibrating the drone process. App is a hit or miss would love for it to be more consistent with Android phones. Also Airplane mode is another suggested fix when trying to get full functions to work.

I'm having the same problems, even after turning off BEGINNER's mode and extending all the distances ... 50' no yawl and no turning ... only up/down and forward/backward to about 50 feet all around... some have suggested "spontaneous" resetting occurs to BEGINNER mode, which could be QUITE DANGEROUS ... others have claimed to have set phone to AIRPLANE, which seems quite nonsensical, to turn off the phone's WIFI communication(nonetheless I'll try it) ... All I want is a drone that shoots 4k ... I'll do the rest with the controller(I add a tail to keep track of direction) ... I think Holy Stone, has lied, by omission, by not making the 4K native to the drone, without the app, then giving us a buggy app to boot.

Received a new hs720E 4k EIS for Christmas. Was excited to use it but after reading through all of the instructions and installing Ophelia Go on my Motorola Moto G5 (running Android 8.1) I could not get it to connect with the drone. My phone would see the Holystone network and I could connect to it, but the app would never recognize that it was connected. I was able to fly it a little bit directly from the controller without the app but what is the point of getting a nice video capable drone if you can only fly it visually from the ground. I hope that HolyStone support can provide some guidance but so far their documentation has been minimal and I can't see how to troubleshoot it. As it was, the app crashed about 3 times on my phone while I was trying to figure it out.
