App itself loads VERY slow and clicked news opens very slow even if the newsfeed content itself is nice, maybe coz they keep pushing their Ai Marty which slows it down. Wish it could just pop open the Browse news feed instantly when you click on the app

Tldr: meh, good content, poor ux. I like the way you can choose content types, but the reading experience is poor. I should not need a second tap to continue reading. Just give me 1 page to scroll, and I don't want the reading to happen in a different app, especially one I do not have installed. And if I do have it installed, then the font size and style is different from the otherweb app.

Used TTS is outdated monotone and annoying... Suggested news sources are so mainstream with all what that means nowadays (bias, propaganda, fake...)

The app has potential, but it also has a major spam problem. In the "Discuss" tab, you see nothing but advertisments for obvious scams. This doesn't subtract from the core experience, but it does make the app look "cheap", if that makes sense. As for the core experience: it's great. The AI doesn't work perfectly, of course, but that's to be expected.
Shadowcasting
Prior to the latest update, it was solid. Marty's implementation is absolutely horrendous and so much less efficient than just googling something and reading an article. "Top stories" has been showing me the same stories for 3 days. The discussion section shouldn't exist. Social media has ruined the news. Listen, the core functionality of the app is great: aggregate news based on interests and coverage preferences. Maybe stick to that instead of bloating your app with useless features.
