Back and better. I like how it gives a list of possible names when you type a few letters. You can do a sighting of a 'shrub' or 'parrot' if you don't know the species and the sighting goes to an expert moderator for identification. It captures GPS location for photos and audio which overcomes geolocation issues with my Samsung Android phone.(which seems to prefer phone towers). It seems a bit slow to upload, though I haven't tested yet to see if that is due to signal strength. There are some extra features I would like to see in a future release, but in the meantime it is easy to use and is a useful contribution to Citizen Science and conservation efforts.

I wrote this app, so I may be a little biased. But the idea behind the current NatureMapr app is that it has gotten rid of any clutter that may have been in older versions, gotten rid of any unnecessary bells and whistles, in order to maintain a laser focus on reporting flora/fauna sightings and audio clips from anywhere in Australia. A simple app is an intuitive app and this is what the NatureMapr app delivers. Picking photos you've taken previously for use with a sighting is quicker than ever. Choosing a category or species for your sighting or audio clip is easier than ever. Do yourself a favour and download this app today.

A much simpler and streamlined interface, no more errors! Good to be able to take lots of photos on my walk and upload them all when I get home. Kids can use it easily too! We printed a map and took it with us to a location so we could walk the track and see what we could spot, a great learning tool and much simpler and easier to use. Very intuitive. Thanks for the update.

Grrreat app, I take a lot of photos of flora and fauna and now I have a nice hub to keep them in. Easy to use and lots of knowledge in verifications.

Have been unable to download details of plants etc in local area. I've downloaded the nature list for local area, but clicking on a specific item shows a downloading icon and nothing. So useful to know what is around (it doesn't seem to be a complete list though) but can't read detail about the plants etc. Also, if I've downloaded an area why can't it be at the top of the available maps instead of having to scroll down past non downloaded areas each time.

Great App for recording Australian plant and animal sightings. Citizen science data collection increasingly used for evidence based decision making by government organisations.

It's obvious a lot of hard work has gone in to this new and improved version. A simple and smooth user interface makes adding sightings straight forward. Looking forward to using for our coming flora field season across the ACT.

This is way better than the old version as I can upload pictures from the gallery. Quick and easy, no fiddling around with locations. It is also now more reliable to upload from my phone using the app than it is from my phone using the web browser.
