Works well, more accurate than a standard physical tension meter unless you own one of the somewhat rare and quite expensive calibrated DT Swiss ones (I borrowed one from a shop and checked it against this app)

The app works exactly as advertised, used it to true a WTB ST i27 29" wheel with the correct tension. Definitely worth the money when compared to a physical tensometer. The GUI could use an update (not having to scroll to find the diameter and length of spokes), but once the parameters are set up, it is easy to use. Also loved the explanation of the physics behind the app. The app also contains a short tutorial for wheel building, describing how to solve common problems.

I am very satisfied with this app. I was leaning toward purchasing a mechanical meter, but I decided that inexpensive mechanical meters are probably only good for measuring relative tension because the calibration can be way off.. After hearing good things about a similar app for the iPhone, I decided to give this one a try. There was a bit of trial and error to get the plucking technique just right (i.e., lightly!), but I felt confident that I was getting very repeatable readings.

Tested this as a novice wheel builder, and I think it works well, but can't verify the accuracy of the readings personally as I don't have a more accurate instrument. There is a video on YouTube of someone (maybe the app creator?) demonstrating how to use the application, which does show that it can be quite accurate. It does take some time to find a method that works to get good readings, which for me involved a very quiet room and plucking in such a way to to vibrate the other spokes.

1st time user and love it. Just set the details of the spokes to what your wheel setup is and away you go. I can't 100% say it's is accurate, but what I can say is the results are repeatable/consistent. Pretty chuffed this app is available. Give it a try.

has decent accuracy, can be used to calibrate park TM-1

Precisely what I was looking for. Already knew I had to tension by frequency, but this makes it soo much easier than asking my wife if the spoke is lower or higher in pitch. No fuzz, just exactly what you need, no more no less. Pricing is low enough for a impulse buy. Keep up the good work!

This app has let me figure out what my MTB wheels Spoke Tension is. Now my wheels stay True because I'm not guessing and not just tightening the spokes till they felt tight and "pinged" when taped with a screwdriver. The app was well worth the low price that it cost.
