TOXBASE® è il database di tossicologia clinica del Servizio nazionale di informazione sui veleni del Regno Unito, che fornisce consigli sulle caratteristiche e sulla gestione dell'avvelenamento. Le monografie sono progettate per essere utilizzate dagli operatori sanitari coinvolti nella gestione dei pazienti avvelenati.TOXBASE è disponibile gratuitamente per gli utenti che possono registrarsi utilizzando un indirizzo e-mail di dominio NHS, MOD, ac.uk o UKHSA.

Funzionalità principali dell'applicazione

* consigli sul trattamento punto per punto, chiari e concisi, basati sull'evidenza, sottoposti a revisione paritaria e aggiornati 24 ore su 24, 7 giorni su 7
* non è necessaria alcuna connessione Internet per effettuare ricerche nel database (anche se potrebbe essere necessaria una connessione Internet per accedere a tutte le informazioni su alcune voci)
Come funziona l'app
Dopo il download, gli utenti completano un modulo di registrazione e ricevono un'e-mail contenente un collegamento di verifica. Una volta verificati, gli utenti potranno utilizzare il proprio login per l'app TOXBASE e anche per TOXBASE online su www.toxbase.org
Il rinnovo dell'account è richiesto ogni anno.

The man with Inflatable knees
Very useful for my role as paramedic. Helps look at side effects and interractions of drugs that are both common and rare. The only issue is the frequent updating when you open the app. As you are often trying to look at results quickly, this can be very time consuming and frustrating

Same as other reviews, the old app was better. The calculator is now useless as you can no longer see the values. Bearing in mind this is an emergency use app, this is not good enough and requires an immediate fix!

Efficient and free for NHS staff. However could you work on getting rid of the slow "synchronisation" whenever we open/reopen the app. We look at it in emergencies, looking at a "sync plz wait" screen for x min when it could be done in the background isn't that awesome. Thanks - ED spr

Despite double and triple checking that I'm putting in the correct username and password, app still says it's wrong. Can login to the website with the same login details no problem but unable to login in on the app.

Older version of app was better. I am now unable to see the values when using the calculator as the field boxes are half off the screen.

Verified accredited details, still no access to the appropriate poisons and antidotes sections but seem to be able to get the information tab and upgrade tab! Very frustrating, the download information has been used in the recent NPAS annual review but there was no mention of how many users couldn't access information, a potentially great app ruined by functionality.

Registered with MoD email, still got asked to pay. Thought it's only a fiver so I paid it and despite that, I've tried clicking on several of the toxins on the list and it just crashes out. Absolute waste of a fiver that I shouldn't have had to pay in the first place

Very useful service but exceptionally poor app. Slow, jittery, clunky, often syncs for prolonged periods of time.
