Blue Canoe is far and away the best English pronunciation app I've found. I've been using it with adult learners for a couple years now, and would not want to teach pronunciation without it. The Color Vowel Chart is a great foundation for the app, as vowels are so important to intelligibility and the CVC makes it easy for students to get a handle on the system and makes for an easy way to refer to specific vowels orally in class. Blue Canoe makes learning and practicing vowels fun, and while keeping the focus on stressed vowels also helps students practice other aspects of pronunciation. Being able to have instant feedback is incredibly motivating for students, and with this app they actually enjoy practicing.

I have been using this app in my high school ELL class for over a year and it has been amazing. The students enjoy the challenging topics of conversation. The feedback is instantaneous and drives them to improve. The other features and activities that go with this app are ever expanding. The color vowel chart is an additional tool that helps them to target correct pronunciation and their fluency. The customer support is excellent and shows that their heart is in the right place.

Blue Canoe is a great app to learn how to pronounce the English words with the American sound. The common words that we use all the time become new because of the different way we usually said them in our accents as foreigners. It's easy, interesting and fun to practice. With the words given in practice , we are also learning vocabulary after I get their meanings in the library botton. I love it.

I get a ridiculous feedback very often. For example when I say "suit", I use "rose boat" according to this app. I know my pronunciation isn't perfect but it's really not that bad. How it hears the "rose boat" sound there is beyond my comprehension. I have many more ridiculous examples like this one. The app doesn't teach how to produce the sound of the vowels. Imitation is not enough, I need some hints what to do with my mouth and tongue. The dictionary is very slow. I canceled my subscription.

Very useful and helpful app. Great navigation and intuitive. I can suggest adding a 'mute sound' button to the prompts we receive when mispronouncing a word. Sometimes, I want to listen to how the word is correctly pronounced multiple times without hearing the entire prompt. I think this would be convenient.

This is incredible app to improve pronunciation. Color Vowel system is absolutely an amazing approach in learning English. The app recognizes the voice pretty well, has short and useful videos. Learning through games is one of the most effective and exciting way for me.

Hi. I tried to use my different email address and it worked. I thought there was something wrong with my gmail address. I did practice for two lessons about stress and vowels earlier. In two lessons, I've learned a lot on how to pronounce correctly. I need more practice to boost my confidence in speaking English. The problem was solved. Thanks a lot
