Makes no sense, I have scores of 100 for all items, but an over all score of 70. No dings even for hard breaks, but ranked 1935. Must turn off Bluetooth or get dinged for auto connect to car, must turn off facial recognition or get dinged for logging in. Does not see every trip. Not to mention a HUGE invasion of privacy. Not worth the possibility of maybe a discount. Just go to a different company. Soon companies will just require it.

App is terrible and should not be used to rate safety of one's driving. I have 100 for everything on all trips ( no speeding or hard braking, etc.) but a score of 58. The app misses trips, and says it is waiting for a connection when my phone is connected. There is no logic to how this app rates driving. Dings you for using phone when you're a passenger. I think Mercury may have legal issues by claiming to give discounts based on this arbitrary piece of junk.

App works ok. Not sure about the Mercury algorithms. My Samsung Galaxy S8 flags this app as a high background battery user. I have other apps that track my location that use a lot less battery in the background or foreground. Update: the explanation about hard braking is focused on tailgating. 80% of the time I get tagged for that there is no one in front of me but I am stopping for a red light. As a result, I now run a lot more yellow lights than I used to. I doubt that is the intention.

I like the app. It keeps me from using my phone while I'm driving. BUT I don't like the fact that it says I'm speeding when I'm not. Then when I send message about the speed limit not being right on the app, they don't change anything. My score stays the same and they continue to give me bad scores each time I take that route and continue saying I'm speeding when I am not.

I don't have an issue using it for a discount. It should at least work properly to collect corect data. 1. Movement - The app starts when I'm on the porch in my rocking chair texting. 2. Traveling as a couple - The app does not distinguish between driver & passenger. The passenger can't use their phone at all because the app records the driver as texting & driving. 3. Battery - This app consumes way too much battery power Very Poor, Inaccurate, Needs Major Testing & An Update

I don't know what they use or how they use it to gage driving habits but it feels like I'm building my credit score and it takes years of practicing the same best practices over and over to see little to no improvement on your score. Especially, the speeding part? That hasn't moved once since I got the app and I drove 300 miles both ways without going over the speed limit on the trip because I wanted to see how it would score me. Failure

It "records my trip" when I'm sitting at my desk, lying in bed, and just generally not moving. I've gotten multiple "hard braking" deductions for exiting the highway onto a turn around ramp where I have to go from 65 to 25. The app is invasive, annoying, and inaccurate. EDIT (responding to dev response): There shouldn't BE a trip status if I'M NOT MOVING. Why is your solution for the app recording me not moving in my house to change the trip type? That does nothing to solve the problem.

1. Meaningless scoring: having all trips 5 or 4 stars and all gold badges can't exceed overall score above 48 out of 100. 2. App's expectations are murky: it detects hard breaking where is none - I have an SUV with paddle shifters and use them for breaking, so hard breaking is theoretically not possible; nevertheless app detects them on every second trip. The same is regarding cornering: looks like every sharp turn, like entering garage, at the speed above pedestrian's considered as such.
