Compared Color Meter results from several phones against a just calibrated X-Rite spectrophotometer and none were close enough that I'd consider them useful. Checked against several Pantone targets in various lighting conditions (including outdoors) and the individual results and averages were always useless. Might be good enough if someone was painting an entire house or room, but not for anything requiring app's supposed "Accurate color measurements." Update: gave app a second with same result

Perfection, and exactly what I needed! This tool allows you to measure the exact color, in multiple formats (RGB values, HEX, etc). While it is not required, I found the option of a white reference to be ideal! This means that you can add a white piece of paper, or similar, into the frame, and identify it as white. That way, the program can determine if there are any color biases in the light, and can effectively "subtract" that bias color in the light from the color you are measuring.

Would be a good feature to lock white point to a value without have to have it always in frame.

Pretty cool to see the detected RGB numbers change while I fiddle with my cheap LED strip. I'd gladly pay one time for pro version, but not sorry I don't have a need for yet another subscription in my life.

The white balance feature it advertises is not extremely intuitive- there is always a warm or green cast over the image, with no way to tell if the measurement is accurate
