I was happy with the app until today when I clicked on one of the pop-up ads in error and it attempted to install some software on my phone. The software it was attempting to install had similar Graphics to software already on my phone (for PDFs) but it was not from the same developer. The messaging was designed to mislead me into thinking that existing software needed an upgrade.

petrol spy was a good app but is now completely infested with advertising. It has gotten so bad that now, as soon as you open the petrol spy app, a full screen advert takes over the page. It is then very hard to get back to the app itself. Terrible and shameless. Also the app itself needs updated and repaired, as it freezes and the functionality is poor. but the basic idea is great. please fix the problems and minimise those ridiculous adverts.

Useful. Does not always ping back to your current location, or that button for that function is looking confusing. But, that can be improved, the usage-wise. Recommended, for our vote, having those fuel pricing updates for every location, and how old the last price information is.

If it wasn't for the pop ups that block my screen And the constant ad banner tracking. I would give this a top rating. After using it for a short time I would even have paid a few dollars to turn ads an pop ups off. Good try however. Fix the ads and pop up issues and it would be fantastic

I love this app and it's saved me a ton in fuel. Very easy to use. It's not perfect, and here are my suggestions. 1 - it's awful when your mobile reception is patchy. Times out. 2 - I'd pay to remove the ads. They wreck the experience as no prices will load until the add loads. 3 - price graph for other fuel types would be good. 4 - landscape support and android auto support would be amazing.

Old review: "Was terrific. Really useful app. Now useless. " uninstalled app.(June 2023). Reinstalled today and what a difference! Fast and smooth. Instantly shows prices and how long they've been in effect. Map updates are instant. Even sweeping across the state, prices zap up instantly. Seemless integration with Google maps. Really handy usefull app now 10 stars.

I've been pretty happy with the app overall for the last few years, but the last few weeks I keep getting ads poping up in Chinese or Japanese which given that I don't speak either of these languages makes me reluctant to click on the ad to attempt to close, as there is no X button visible. My only option is to force close the app and reopen and hope for a different ad.

Very useful app thank you. The one suggestion I would make is to only show the results for the petrol type selected in the filters. It is frustrating having to go through the embedded U95 listings when U98 is selected, for example. I think it would be better to only show U98 when that filter is selected and then if none are in the area the user can simply change the filter to say U95 if they wish to fall back on that alternative.
