天体航法は、六分儀（「照準」）で測定されたすべての測定値が海図上の位置線に変換され、2本以上の線が交差することで位置が求められるという原理を利用しています。このオフライン対応アプリを使えば、照準を計画・入力し、得られた位置線を確認できます。

Very useful app. A minor improvement for the next release would be to retain the date and time settings between entries - this would make it easier to obtain the results for a series of five or six star shots, all of which would typically have been taken within a few minutes of each other.
