This app has seen a lot of growing pains. The current version is a major improvement over previous releases. It's great that you can save journeys, see cost options for tickets, and check nearby departures. The most recent fix seems to finally allow the app to tell you if a saved journey has changed (delay/cancellation), which is a big improvement. The app still doesn't give realistic suggestions regarding transfers, and the app info and the info at the stops/stations are often different.

I am a bit disappointed by the recent redesign. Two of my mainly used features are gone: a 'via' station & saving routes so I can view them later/ see where the train is currently With the redesign I can only buy tickets after selecting a route, but I dont need to buy one, I just wanna save that route. Also I just noticed I can no longer see where the train I am riding is nor the delay (if any) it has. I think the best part is the option for wheelchair users which just turns up the contrast LOL

Wow, they did. A completely new app and it is even worse than the previous one which was already 0 stars. They just fire everyone who had anything to with developing this. You cannot login (it says wrong password although it is definitely correct, I just reset it). After multiple attempts you finally can. Same for fingerprint confirm. And buying a ticket does not work at all. I'm actually riding without a ticket right now because of that. Have they heard of bug testing, unit test and so on?

The app design is good, however they sacrifice functionality for the looks. Now you can't save your routes or use the 'via' option, effectively making the app dumber. Also, the search tool is somehow worse than before, and on top of that, it doesn't account for construction work. It is a waste, since you are better off planning your journeys through other 3rd party apps, then go back to hvv app to buy your ticket. Such a pain, just put back the lost functionality.

This app does indeed provide a route planer. However, there are no significant advantages over Google Maps. It also seems to provide a way to buy tickets, the means of payment however have significant problems. Available are credit card, SEPA and PayPal. I am not in possession of a credit card, the app either refuses to accept the details for SEPA as the correct form or it fails to register the data, and it only accepts PayPal if the PayPal email address is identical to the one used in this app

Correcting this down from 2 to 1 stars now as it seems the new and reduced functionality is here to stay. The app has been made strictly worse compared to before with overly bright designs, inability to find different connections and no 2D timetable of connections to easily compare them. Further, apart from selling the actual tickets (which can be down via web) there's now nothing Google Maps cannot do better. It's a shame, the old app wasn't pretty but actually worked really well.

Th often it will not show the best choice of buses and shows instead changes that have 2 minutes of change time, although it's common for a bus to have 2 minutes delay. The specific bus combination that I have just used was not listed but it was given as option for 1 hour later, although there was a connection every 10 minutes. The application works more or less but is not always reliable.

Connections are wrong, change upon refresh, tracking is less precise than it should be (phones tracking shows correct Position, the walking instructions don't), no option for preferences regarding walking as the previous one had. Also no option to save a connection, which is painful, when you are already underway because you took the least terrible option, but want to look for better alternatives, or for a connection for the way back.
