The application works but more instructions are needed. I ran the application out of the box against twitch. It reported there was no differentiation. Ran it 3x and same thing. Open the twitch app, buffering like crazy, so I can see the throttling. Run the test while streaming and it saw the exact differentiation 700kb vs my 6mbs. Which I verified externally.

***Edit: No longer works at all, even at 227 Mbps. Hey Brandon C, not everyone has the same circumstances as you, capiche? *** Slow, but incredibly useful. Rarely if ever updated. But everyone should know about this app, much like Ookla Speedtest. If they did, maybe mobile companies wouldn't throttle so indiscriminately and dishonestly. Would be very useful if the app was updated to detect 0 or extremely poor connections. Under those conditions, it either doesn't work or seems not to work.

Downloaded on Google Pixel 3 XL with Sprint LTE sim card on 2/26/19. All of the tests say "Analysis server unavailable." They seem to run all the way through, but never report any results. I would have really liked to use the results in an informative presentation about the implications of net neutrality being repealed, but I guess I will just have to use the results and charts posted on the Wehe website.

Unfortunately does not work anymore, either on Wi-Fi or mobile data. Shame. This was a great tool to use back in the days when cellular providers differentiated data usage for certain streaming services. Providers have mostly stopped throttling video traffic so this app is not needed as much today.

I am surprised how different the results are in terms of, when running speed test on ookla, and speed test directly from Skype, Google Meet, etc. I get 30mbps in ookla and get average of 1mbps in your app. Our ISP sucks and it is very intelligent. It throttles every single server just for speed test results.

You should include ookla speed test in it. I really think carriers are increasing it's tests. If my internet crawls, I run the test to what speed I have and it all of a sudden drastically increases speed. All the carriers brag about ookla's speed results!

on T-mobile now when using this I'm getting "analysis server unavailable" though the tests seem to complete. I started testing after I noticed that T-mobile seems to have started selectively throttling it blocking content on my commute. Speed tests show over 20Mbps down when it's happening.. I was hoping this would prove it. Is T-mobile also blocking this app?

Test never starts. I tried running several at once as well as just one test. Even though it says the test will only take 16 seconds, it says "starting test" and doesn't ever start. Oh well, app sounded like a good idea. I'm using a Note 10+.
